EXT.KING’S PALACE.DAY
We now see an archaic beautiful palace with different mystical
artistic designs. The drawing inculcates fear in every one that
sees it, it looks like a “human-ant”. The gate, made of ancient
metal is opened, wide, and boldly written inside and outside of
the gate: “The AJIGBITERI of IGBOGOBI LAND” in a bold font.
We see two guards at the gate holding swords and another two at
the doorstep in blue sleeveless shirt and knickers, wearing no
slipper.
INT.KING’S PALACE-CONTINUOUS
We see ourselves inside the king’s palace. The palace is filled
with mats on the floor. The KING (KABIYESI) 62 sitting on his
throne and the Chief’s sitting on the floor. It appears that the
KING (KABIYESI) and his seven CHIEFS are having a very important
meeting and they all wear a sad look.
KABIYESI
(Melancholy, sad and rhetoric)
Ah, (o ma se o) where else have we not gone, what else have we
not done, all the resources of this city have been spent, yet not
even a speck of improvement;
KABIYESI
(almost crying)
ELEDUA o se wa je emi ah (God why me), omo kan soso ti mo ni...
(My only son) O mase ooo... (what a pity)
OTUN (67)
(reassuring)
KABIYESI oooo, Kade o pe lori, KABIYESI, e ma ronu mo, I know
that our god (ELEDUA) will not leave us, as far there is life,
there is hope... the PRINCE is not dead yet, although we have
spent every dime we have and has sold most of our land.
I know that when the PRINCE is healed, everything will come back
to normal. And I also know that ELEDUA will bring everything back
to normal
OTUN
(Lively and faces the Oloye)
Abi ki le ni mo so, eyin Oloye (hope what I said was good)
ALL OLOYE’S
(mixture of feelings)
O wire oo, gbogbo re a si dara (you have said it well)
OSI (65)
(Cuts in and concerned)
KABIYESI, we are hearing that you have not eaten anything since
past two days, KABIYESI...(gesticulating) okun inu ni won ma fin
gbe tita, (innermost strength brings about external strength) we
all know that you love the PRINCE very much and we also love him,
but we cannot afford to have you also sick, KABIYESI please eat
so that you can have strength oooo
KING
Ah, eyin oloye this life has thrown a big blow at me, I vowed to
marry only a wife and she gave birth to only a son and the gods
wants to take him away from me, this is not fair (sobbing) --
what if he dies who is going to take the position, the city that
has been kept by my forefathers will now become a laughing stock,
it will be left in turmoil... what a pity! I wish I was in that
position and not my only PRINCE. Not even BABA FAGBAMILA (109)
the greatest healer in the world from about 69 cities away across
eight rivers and seven mountains could heal him. Ah it is
finished!
KING
(sad but raising his tone, angrily then gradually turns to a cry)
Eh, for the past twelve years, twelve years! We have spent
everything we have on this sickness even we sold some of our
villagers who volunteered as slaves when we have no more land to
sell. (crying)
Who have I offended that doesn’t want to forgive me. The priest
says that my son does not have more than three (3) days to live.
Ah o tan (it has finished)
INT.KING’S PALACE.CONTINUOUS
We see the king coughing vehemently and repeatedly after his
speech. The king cannot control himself any more as he started to
grasp for breath. The Oloye’s that were asit calmly before, the
atmosphere became pandemonic, some were seen running out to call
the priest while the rest are fanning KABIYESI and telling the
King’s servant to bring all sort of bizarre things.
Finally, the king gave up the ghost.
The QUEEN (53), ALL Oloye’s and servants were seen wailing to the
core. It was as if an epidemic of wailing has begun
OTUN
(wailing)
KABIYESI, KABIYESI igba keji orisa, ah ah, e dide nile, wo ara
omo re ti ya, ah, ah, aye ooooo, KABIYESI ooooo, o tan.

INT.IGBOGOBI PALACE-PRINCE ROOM.DAY
We see the PRINCE lying almost lifeless on his bed, lean to the
core, his eyes were as yellow as a concentrated urine; with 2
guards standing beside him. It seems He has heard about the
tragedy that befell his father. He summoned all his strength to
get up on his bed. Sitting down touching his chest softly.
PRINCE IFAGBEMI
(sobbing and gradually raising his voice)
Ah so this is the end, why me! Why me! Ko baje lori Aresa, se ori
mi lo ti ma wa baje ni (the CITY didn’t destroy in time of Aresa,
will I now destroy it) Oba ti waja, emi na mo ti n ku lo (the
king is dead, I too am dying).
PRINCE IFAGBEMI
(Wiping his tears)
My Guards, I would like to see the city for the last time, I
would put everything in the hands of ELEDUA but I leave it in
turmoil after my death, It is so sad that I will not live to
witness this city being prosperous as I always thought when I was
little... all my plans for the city will not come to pass. Ah o
ma se ooooo, Iku b’Ola je
(the PRINCE struggled to stand up as the guards were assisting
him, they all cannot stop crying because the PRINCE was a very
humble person)
FADES IN:
INT.IGBOGOBI LAND. DAY
We see the PRINCE being carried in a carriage, greeting everyone
he meets on his way to tour around the city, he was sobbing,
praying and blessing everyone that came along his way; it was a
true heartbreaking moment. Everyone that sees the PRINCE starts
to cry because everyone have given their all, their land, money,
time even sacrifices.
After the PRINCE has toured the CITY, he got to a dangerous
forest named ALỌMABỌ (popularly known in their era) and deeply
signed, he asked his guards to put him down that he wishes to
enter the forest.
AGED MAN (V.O)
(Mystical)
Hmmm the forest of ALỌMABỌ, the greatest forest in the dead’s
era, anyone that enters this forest except from the royal family
will keep roaming about the forest and never come out. Hmmm. Iku
to pa ole, olosha, to pa Yeyemasi ati awon emewa re, Osuba re re
oooo (the forest that killed thiefs, robbers, Yeyemasi a legend
and his group, I hail thee)
PRINCE IFAGBEMI
I have never entered this forest before I will enter today, put
me down and let me enter, this is the last place I need to visit
before saying goodbye
HEFTY GUARD (45)
(concerned)
Aremo (PRINCE), this forest is bad, accursed, don’t go inside...
ehh, you mother will kill us if she hears that we allowed you to
enter such a dangerous forest. Please Aremo...
Everyone of the guards were begging the PRINCE, but the PRINCE is
adamant and has already made up his mind and no turning back.
PRINCE IFAGBEMI
(forcing a smile)
E ma se iyonu, nothing will happen to me I will come back... see
as you people are concerned as if you were my mother... I will
come back jare, no need to worry, Ori ade ni mi?
He struggles to enter into the forest as the guards watched in
horror as he drifted far into the forest and no one sees him
again.
INT. ALỌMABỌ FOREST-LATER
We see a thick dense forest that looks scary, and we see a lonely
man walking through it fearlessly but seems fainting, it seems he
was searching for something. The PRINCE drifted west along the
forest and was strenuously noticing every detail until he saw a
pair of shoes, he then tried to remember, as he was looking at
the shoe suspiciously, where he has seen the same kind of shoe.
Then finally remembered...
PRINCE IFAGBEMI
(restored)
Ehnn... mo ranti (oh I remember)

INT. KING’S PALACE. DAY-FLASHBACK
We are just inside the palace and we see that it seems as if the
king is having an urgent meeting with the Oloyes. The Queen and
the PRINCE were also present in the meeting.
The light shone on a light-skinned MAN (59) wearing a white
flowing garment, also a shinning shoe. The man holding a Bible.
It appears the man is a missionary. He was also present at the
meeting.
The PRINCE was looking at the man amazed and fascinated but the
king was looking at him with contempt and disdained. The Oloye’s
were looking at him as if he was an intruder. The Olori were
looking at him as she would look at anyone.
KING(O.C)
(calm)
Is it true that you healed BABA ALAGBAKA(55), the man blind since
birth?
MISSIONARY
(calmly)
Verily KABIYESI, the Lord has done it.
KING
(fuming angrily)
Does that now give you the audacity to burn the 500 years old
statue that my father has left me? You and those people that sent
you must be foolish...
KING
(In a kingish tone)
Eniti o ba se nkan ti oju ko ri ri, dandan ni ko lo arinmabo,
Idajo mi ree! (anyone that does what eyes have not seen, he must
also go where his legs will not return, this is my judgement)
Guards, carry this unruly and defying man and throw him into the
ALỌMABỌ FOREST, let him be telling the beasts and spirits about
Jesus there... what a fool!
MISSIONARY
(STRUGGLING FROM THE HANDS OF THE GUARD)
Jesus loves you; he wants you to stop serving all these gods and
come unto him and he will give thee rest.
KING
(disdainful)
E tete gbe kuro niwaju mi jare, what a fool!
They threw the missionary in the forest thereafter

INT. ALỌMABỌ FOREST.CONTINUOUS
We see the PRINCE restored.
PRINCE IFAGBEMI
Ohh, that good man that healed BABA ALAGBAKA... I wish he was
still in our CITY; I could have gone to him for my healing I
believe he will be able to heal me, maybe the dangerous animal in
the forest has eaten him... ah o mase oo, ENI IRE LO
PRINCE IFAGBEMI
BUT nevertheless, this is his shoe and I strongly believe if I
touch this shoe my sickness will be gone.
He stretches his hand forth to reach the shoe. The moment he
touched it. He felt a shocking wave moving all over his body and
he was instantly healed.
PRINCE IFAGBEMI
(surprise)
Heeee, ELEDUA o seun, my body is not heavy again, my head is not
paining me again.
The PRINCE started to dance joyfully then something happened.
INT.ALỌMABỌ FOREST.CONTINUOUS
We see a man kneeling on a rock bare footed. Praying vehemently,
he suddenly felt virtue gone out of his body. He shouted Jesus
and rushed to where his shoe was. As he got there, he saw a man.
MISSIONARY
(challenging)
Who are you and what are you doing with my shoes?
PRINCE IFAGBEMI
(his happiness subsides as he started shaking, stammering)
My name name, name is IFAGBEMI, the PRINCE of IGBOGOBI LAND...
He explained everything that has happened to him since the
beginning of his sickness till when he got healed.
MISSIONARY
(smiling)
Glory be to the name of the Lord, the Lord has done it again
MISSIONARY
(calmly)
Do you now wish to accept Jesus as your Lord and personal
Saviour?
PRINCE IFAGBEMI
(enthusiastic)
Yes, Yes, I need him in my life.
They prayed together and PRINCE IFAGBEMI got saved.
PRINCE IFAGBEMI
Thank you, sir, please sir, will you follow me to my CITY, so
that everyone can hear and see the good news, what the LORD has
done for me?
MISSIONARY
I would be happy to follow you, PRINCE
The both walked happily discussing about Jesus.

INT. IGBOGOBI LAND. DAY
The CITY of IGBOGOBI LAND seems in a festive mood. Everyone is
happy to the core. The PRINCE had explained every detail of how
he met God and how he was blessed. The missionary was given
chance to say the WORD OF GOD and many people including the
Oloyes were converted and they all lead themselves to different
shrines and burned them down, names were changed shortly after
the incident. The Queen was the happiest as we see her dancing to
the glory of GOD...
PRINCE OLORUNGBEMI (V.O)
(slowly and with stress)
And that is how my story and name changed to OLORUNGBEMI
