Cafeteria Mayhem
The day began as all Mondays begin, with the alarm ringing. I tried stopping my
alarm but it refused to listen! As I forced myself to get out of bed, I looked at the
time. Oh no! I am late for school, again! I did everything faster than sonic! I would
have broken the world record for getting ready to school when students are late!
As I sleep-walked to school, I tried to remember my school time table. Within a
flash, it all ran into my mind.
After two hours of learning about two exhausting subjects, it was ,finally, time for
me to go to recess. I was waiting forever to play with my friends! We all ate
peacefully in the cafeteria until a random kid screamed, ”Food Fight!”. In a heart
stopping moment, food flew everywhere! My friends and I got hit with strange
types of food, every second! After a while, a strange figure approached us. One
person was in the middle of throwing a blob of honey at a student. However, the
mysterious person blocked their view and the honey was thrown mistakenly at
him. The sticky substance had hit the guy’s neat, slick hair. Then, there was
silence. A terrible feeling arose inside me. Afterwards, the figure came into the
light. Everyone stared at the floor when they saw who it was! Now reader, you
might ask, ‘Who is the unknown person?’ Well, it was the PRINCIPAL!!! “All of
you will receive detention for the rest of the week except that little group of girls!”
the principal said ,pointing to us. All of the girls ,who threw food with the boys,
rushed towards us asking if they could be our friends like we were famous
celebreties who came from overseas and they wanted our autographs.
With a warning, the class bell rang. Normally, I would die if I had science after
recess but today, I couldn’t wait for science! We did all of these astonishing and
eye-popping experiments! In one of the experiments, we had to make a mini
parachute and when we finished, we would go outside as a class and drop them
from a high distance to see which mini parachute actually would work. Today,
during science, time flew by because suddenly, BRING!!! The bell for lunch rang.
My friends and I were eating our lunch under the shade, when a bunch of girls
came to us. They tried giving us their delicious lunches but we refused as it was
their only lunch. “No need to give us all of this,” I said, ”Just ask if you want to
play with us and we will let you!”
As we were playing together, they asked us,” What can we do if we don’t want to
go to detention?” My friends and I answered in unision,”Why don’t you write the
principal a letter telling him that you are sorry for what happened.” They thanked
us for our amazing advice and went.
Before I went home, the girls that we played with at lunchtime said to me, “The
principal forgave us so we don’t have to go to detention!” I felt really proud of
myself as I had hit two birds with one stone.
As soon as I arrived at home, I flopped onto my bed. A tsunami of emotions ran
through me as I was dead tired and as happy as a mouse that has eaten cheese.
