tried to have some soft excercises like walking around my
school campus.
-At first, it was so challenging to control my chaotic lifestyle,
but gradually after some months, I found that I was much
better in managing anxiety when I gotta have some exams,
my physically health was also improved precisely. I mean,
rarely I had a headache and felt tired in the morining, as I
wasn’t an owl any longer.
-These changes in my habit really helpful, allowing me to
enjoy my life much more fully like, cultivate my inner peace
and prevent some health issues.

paid for the meal and stormed out of there. Not a
comfortable experience with me. This meal was so unusual
and defenitely there was no time for the second in this
restaurant.
-DISAGREEMENT/ COMPLAINT BUT ÔK
RESULT: One friend suggested that jutst pay the bill and
leave while other one wanted to raise our voice. They had
a little disagreement until I decided to speak to the manager
about our concerns but still politely. Fortunately, we didn’t
need to pay for the bill and the manager apologized us.
(My friends also made peace.)This experience was a
reminder of the importance of communication and also
our friendship where expectations are not met.

gave lots of compliment to him, on his success. I mean, I
took a lot of pride about him, as now his company has
about 5 branches in the North of VietNam.

dress with long sleeve. It comes down until my knee and

carefully chose a pair of shoes that suits well w/ my outfit,
cuz I wanted to be comfortable when engrossing in the
celebration.
In Vn, people also celebrate Christmas, but just in a
small scale, from those who are Christians. But in
Chicago, it seems like a huge thing.
-Almost people there were well-dressed, and cheered for
the upcoming year. So I felt fortunate that I prepared
enough to not be an odd one out. We spent most of our
time visiting different tourist attractions and tried various
local specialities. super fun trip.

20 degrees, which sounds great. So, DL attracts lots of
tourists, both local residents and foreigners to visit and

team project, like out of nowhere, until now cant

Vnam has numerous rivers or lakes that play a crucial -River

role w/ country. One of the most important one, I’d say
the Red River which is located in the North of VN. This
river flows from China, to the East Sea
-I’d say it’ll be kinda peaceful if u travel there, just from
my perspective. When was young, I used to sit on the ship
travelling quite often, and the flow of stream is not so
strong, bringing me a sense of tranquility. Like
immersing ur self when u are on the river, it s so relaxing,
looking up to the sky, listening to the sound of water…etc
-Havign said that, it is sometimes vibrant as there are a a
lot activities. U can just walk some steps and u get into
another restaurant, may be the view to the Red River is so
spectacular, so they wna build their bussiness there, for
attracting more tourists.
-The pivotal thing makes The Red River important is
bcuz of the potential economic development it brings, esp
agriculture sector. Most of fields in the North of VN have
to use this water source to maintain their crops for such a
long time.
So local residents can earn a living from there.
-Hopefully, in the future, gov and vnese can join hand to
protect as well as preserve this River, as it is a part of our
history as well.

National anthem, learnt abt nearly 11 years, since I was at -Bài hát hát hồi nhỏ
primary school.
-sitting w/ peers im the circle and wait for our
headteacher to teach us step by step
-at first, extremly excited as if I’m not mistaken ,we
would be rewared with a candy
- Because we were kids, and ‘ve always wanted to get
some sweets, so our classmates, including me just sang as
loud as possible and didn’t care abt our off-tone voice.

-Sang on Monday every weeks, it took me such a long
time to understand the real meaning of the anthem.
-Reminds us of the past, how fierce and brave our
ancestors were to protect our national properties and
national independence. Just instill in me a sense of
community and belonging when I sang that.
-There is one gesture that our Vietnamese pp often do
whenever we hear the national anthem, standing up and
placing the right hand on the left chest, This is a way to
show our respect to our ancestors, as well as appreciate
more abt our current solidarity and patriotism.
-Now, just abt 1 year until finishing highschool, wouldn’t
have to sing it everyweek, but pretty sure that whenever
hear this national anthem, def it would remind me
somhow of the childish period of time, funny and
memorable

Bamboo tree, like th superhero of plants in Vn Important plant

-Bamboo grows like crazy, very fast and tall without too
much specific needs. So that’s the reson why u can see it
everywhere, esp in the countrysides, like u just put it in
the ground and it can grow itself.
-I say it is one of the most important plant in my country
cuz, it not only bring ingredients for producing goods, but
also contains lots of sentimental values w/ vnese.
-First of all, abt intangibe value, we have a legendary
story, called Thanh Giong, in the dawn of history he used
bamboo as his weapons to fight against invaders to
protect our national properties, so until now, images of
bamboo tree is sth kinda nolstagic w/ our Vn, reminding
us abt our past and to apreciating more abt our solidarity.
-Not only that, as I mentioned, pp could also manufacture
items, like furnitire: chairs, table, or even straws to
protect the environment, instead of plastic ones… so
bamboo tree’s function in my country, I’d say, knows no
bounds
-And u know what, bamboo is symbolize for the luck, so
we often use it for weddings or festivals, hoping that
everything would go smoothly and bring luck to pp.
-Not just practical and symbolic, it’s so delicious by the
way, I mean, bamboo shoots. It likes one of vnese cuisine
that u can find most in the North of VN, I think this also a
worthy dish that u should try if u have a chance to.

-so I’m gna tell u abt… on my birthday party -Ng nấu ăn cho
-some of my close friends, they hold a small event for my -Món ăn ý nghĩa
birth day, but I hve to say that, that event was kda weird, -Special Gift
I mean literally.
-so they organized the party at one of my friends’ house,
she was such a good cook, we all knew that, so as usual, I
would just sit and wait for her dishes. After a while, she
brought out a whole brunch of dishes. But it would be
okay if dishes had been sth that we used to eat or familiar
w/, but noo, abs noo
-That were dishes w/ edible insects, I mean I knew it was
edible n I ‘ve saw it once, but I just couldn’t understand
why she could cook that for me… I’d still say it is one of
the weirdest gift that I ‘ve ever received, btw, still knda
meaningful w/ me, making me never forget.
-So that was the fried crickets, omgoshhh , it was kinda
vomit-inducing intially and my friends laughed me a lot,
but after a bit, I could feel the taste. Actually it was not
that bad, so crunchy, like the popcorn in the insect world.
But that was not an end, she still gave me more, silkworm
pupae,,,, that was extremly a nightmare for me, even
appreciate it as it was my gift that friends gave me, but
no, I couldn’t eat that, they still moved,,,]
-so all in all, I would still call it a meaningful dish/special
gift that friends gave me, but abs, there is no word can
describe exactly abt that birthday event-weird!!

-One of the most enjoyable place (but not many knows)/ -Interesting place mà attract ít người
ecomomical place/ (with my class hoặc fam) abt 2 years -A good time với bạn
ago. That was a trip to hidden mountain area in the North -Natural Place
of VN (it was located in remote area, so I guess that was the -Journey với bạn

-So that was such an adventurous trip, with a long drive -Đi với car/public transportation
(w/ our own car/bus) through scenic landscapes of
greenery and towering peaks. Fresh air, natural lights
through leaves, such a peaceful place, like a refuge from
the hustle and bustle. The road on this area is quite
rough, so sometimes I was kinda like anxious a bit, but
the spectacular scenery offsets that part. Thoughout the
way, I thought: “why cant I see any tour in such a beautiful
place like this ?”
-We even saw some unique birds w/ vibrant colors, I
mean, my friends, they told me that: “Hey, I think we
spend hours to just immerse ourself in this kind of view,
not w/ loads of homework.”
-We laughed a lot, n finnally, took abt 2hrs until we
reached there, we were warmly welcomed by some local
people, they were so nice, gave us bottles of water and also
carried our luggage.
-We spent all day hiking aroud, cuz there were not many
tourist, so we took a bunch of funny pictures, u abs would
laugh out load if u see those pictures of us.
-That time was amazing for us, in the future, if have
chance, explore more n more destinations, and may be we
could go back?
--A very simple astronomy event-which is a full moon, -Astronomy event
this happens around once time every 29days -
-Normally, I don’t really care abt the moon, like is this
meaningful when pay attention to sth which we don’t even
know what is there to look at, right?
-And I’d say, u can enjoy this event from anywhere, as
long as there’s an enough open space, and the last time I
enjoyed was abt 3 months ago
- I still remember it kinda vividly, I was having a trip w/
my class at the end of the schoolyear.
-So when I was lying on the couch outdoor w/ my bestie,
just rambling on and on, all of a sudden, she was like:
Hey, see? This is a full-moon day right?
-So I looked up the sky, and was so so surprised how
beautiful it was, it was so big and large and very bright in
front of me, almost glowing and glittering, so I thought:
why until now, I just know this spectacular view?
- And u know, living in VN, I’d say the full moon has a
kinda close relationship w/ one of our festival-The Mid-
Autumn festival, in 15th August annually according to
lunar calendar
-So basically, this is the day that the moon would become
lightest and brightest, which symbolize for a sense of
unity cuz pp from everywhere often go back to their home
tp reunite w/ their fam
-So yeah, that was one of the most stunning event
astronomical event that I’ve ever experienced

BUNGEE JUMPING- a very popular extreme sport in Spot wna just watched, but wna try//sport mà

-But I’d say I don’t have a head for heights, so until now,
the thought of trying this sport has never crossed in my
mind. I’m so scared of being thrown away when I jump
from such a perilous height, or just when I look down
from the 3rd floor.
-But this thinking have changed when I saw a Korean
show, there was a girl in that show, and at first she was
also scared, but then she tried to overcome the fear to
finish the challenge. I mean, I was sparked by her, she
was just so impressive.
-So yeah, I thougt: why not, just give it a try. Maybe I
could be addicted by that sport. (And finally I made it, my
friends told that I look so cool when I jump, so I took a lot
pride abt that)
-Now, bungee jumping is not just a dangerous sport, but
also a challenge w/ many pp, esp young generations. (I
wna try it, to get otta my comfort zone, to see what is my
limit. I mean, if u don’t try, u would never know ur limit.)
- I hope that in the near future, I would have a chance to
do so

that her grandmother gave her when she got married w/

belonged to my grandma’s grandma, so sbt 5 generations

vase, just keep it in a glass cabinet.
-My grandma told me that that flower vase contained a
lot of sentimenal values, loads of memories from her very
young age. Also, there is a kina unique design in that vase,
like two dragons with clouds. So we are supposed to keep
it, and appreaciate it.
-Still remember vividly a time, when I was kinda little, I
asked my mom like: Mom, can I use this vase for putting
flower in this Tet holiday? I wna show off a bit to my
friends?”
-But all of a sudden, she looked me like : Are you dare???
Ur grandma would absolutely slap u if u did so.
- So yeah, until now, I’ve never been dare to ask sth so,
and I think in my mind that I’d try my best to protect
that vase and pass down to my next generation in the
future, if my grandma allow me to keep.
-Actually not a history buff, Period of history u wna know more
-but there is one historical period that I found kinda
interesting n wna know more abt-and that was the time
that my grandparents grew up-it is also counted right, as
they also lived in the VN war
-So yeah, I wna know how my grandparents live in the
past, just for my curiosity, how they celebrated holidays,
how they have some recreational activities w/o
technological devices as it is today.
-And there was a time during our Tet holiday, my granma
told me that in the past, they had to prepare for pretty
much of things, from flowers, a diverse range of meals
like they had to make their own Chung cake-our
traditional cake instead of going outside to buy it as we
do nowadays.
-And somehow, I find that that time was a bit more
happier, as no technology, no smartphones, so they could
just went out and played physical activities w/ their
friends, and also not that much of pressure for children I
guess, nowadays we have to be under lots of pressure to
be great at any single tasks, so its kinda exhausted-
-having said that, I still think living in such a period is
kinda tiring as we had to fight against invaders, right?
-But all in all, that period of time is still sth kinda
interesting w me and want to know more abt.

for tech, and it is just one of my desire -learn in the future
-3D printing is becoming more n more popular in this day
and age, right? U can see it can use in many fields, from
product designs, architecture, education, I mean u can
name it.
-So, there was a time which I was really really curios abt
its process of creating a trophy. I mean that was the 1st
time I saw so n I was just like, couldn’t believe in my eyes
when I watch the process on Youtube. Just by some steps
and it can create such a complex trophy, w/ unique lines
and facets, I mean, incredibly. How they did it so fast,
how crazy technology is, right? I even speeded down the
video to see more clearly, but I couldn’t. it was just too
complex for me too really understand the operation of
that printer.
- So that marked a time I wna learn more abt this
printing technology, initially is because of my curiosity,
but after delving deeper, I found tech is sth very very
attractive, as it brings me a sense of achievement if I can
understand sth hard and complex.
