DUAS FOR FORGIVENESS:

• ‫ﻮب ِإﻟ َْﻴ ِﻪ‬ َ ْ َ‫أ‬

ُ ‫ﺳ َﺘ ْﻐ ِﻔ ُﺮ اﻟ ﱠﻠ َﻪ ا ﱠﻟ ِﺬي ��َ ِإﻟ ََﻪ ِإ��ﱠ‬
ُ ‫ﻮم َوأ ُﺗ‬
ُ ‫ﻰ ا ْﻟ َﻘ ﱡﻴ‬
‫ﻫ َﻮ ا ْﻟ َﺤ ﱡ‬
(I seek the forgiveness of Allah, there is no true God except Allah, the Ever-Living, the Self Subsisting, and I
turn to Him in repentance)
(Whoever reads this thrice a day his sins will be forgiven even if he has fled from the battlefield - Abu Dawud, At-Tirmidhi and Al-
Hakim}

• ‫ﺐ ا ْﻟ َﻌ ْﻔ َﻮ َﻓﺎ ْﻋ ُﻔ َﻌ ّ ِﻨﻲ‬ َ ‫ﻢ ِإ ﱠﻧ‬

‫ﻚ َﻋ ُﻔ ﱞﻮ ُﺗ ِﺤ ﱡ‬ ‫اﻟ ْﻠ ُﻬ ﱠ‬
(O Allah, You are great in pardoning, and you love to pardon. Grant me Your pardon)
(Prophet (saw) told Ayesha (ra) to read this on laylatul qadr)

ِ ‫َاب اﻟ ﱠﻨ‬
• ‫ﺎر‬ َ ‫آﻣ ﱠﻨﺎ َﻓﺎ ْﻏ ِﻔ ْﺮ َﻟ َﻨﺎ ُذ ُﻧ‬
َ ‫ﻮﺑ َﻨﺎ َو ِﻗ َﻨﺎ َﻋﺬ‬ َ ‫َرﺑﱠ َﻨﺎ إِ ﱠﻧ َﻨﺎ‬
(Our lord! We have indeed believed: forgive us, then, our sins, and save us from the agony of the Fire.
3:16)

ِ ‫ا��ﺑ َﺮ‬ َ ‫ﺳ ِ ّﻴﺌَﺎﺗِ َﻨﺎ َو َﺗ َﻮ ﱠﻓ َﻨﺎ‬
ْ ‫ﻣ َﻊ‬ َ ‫ﻮﺑ َﻨﺎ َوﻛَ ِّﻔ ْﺮ َﻋ ﱠﻨﺎ‬
َ ‫َر ﱠﺑ َﻨﺎ َﻓﺎ ْﻏ ِﻔ ْﺮ َﻟ َﻨﺎ ُذ ُﻧ‬
(Our Lord, so forgive us our sins and remove from us our misdeeds and cause us to die with the righteous.
3:193)

(O Allah! forgive me all my sins, great and small, the first and the last, those that are apparent and those
that are hidden. Muslim 1:350}

ُ ‫ﺖ ا ْﻟ َﻐ ُﻔ‬ َ ‫أن َﺗ ْﻐ ِﻔ َﺮ ِﻟﻲ ُذ ُﻧﻮ ِﺑﻲ إ ﱠﻧ‬
َ ‫ﻚ أ ْﻧ‬ ْ ،‫أﺣ ٌﺪ‬َ ً‫ﻦ ﻟ َُﻪ ُﻛ ُﻔﻮا‬ ْ ‫َﻢ َﻳ ُﻜ‬
ْ ‫َوﻟ‬
(O Allah! I ask You, O Allah, You are the One, the Only, Self Sufficient Master, who was not begotten and
begets not and non is equal to Him. Forgive me my sins, surely you are Forgiving, Merciful.) [Abu Dawud, an

(O Allah! Forgive all Muslim men and Muslim women, believing men and believing women, Those who are
still alive and have died)
Ubadah ibn al-Samit reported: The Messenger of Allah, (‫)ﷺ‬, said, “Whoever seeks forgiveness for the believing men and
women, Allah will record a good deed for him by each man and woman.”Musnad al-Shāmīyīn 2118

ً��‫ﺳ ِﺒ ْﻴ‬َ ‫ﻲ‬ ْ ‫ﺴ َﻨﺎ ِﺗ‬ َ ‫ﻠﻰ َﺣ‬ ٰ ‫ﻢ َﻋ‬ ْ ‫ﺴ ِ ّﻴﺌَﺎ ِﺗ ِﻬ‬َ ‫ﺎﻣ ِﺔ ِﻟ‬ َ ‫ا ْﻟ ِﻘ َﻴ‬.
(O Allah, I seek Your forgiveness for all my sins. I ask You to forgive me for all my wrongdoings [mazalim]
against people that You have recorded, for there are many rights [huquq] and dues [mazalim] owed to
Your servants that I am burdened with and for which I am hostage [murtahin]. O Allah, even if these
(wrongdoings) are many they are insignificant in comparison with the magnitude of Your forgiveness. O
Allah, any male or female servant of Yours who has rights upon me, in either that I have unjustly taken
from him [ghasabtu] in regards to his land, possession, honor, body; whether he was absent or present; or
he or his representatives demanded it from me and neither was I able to return it to him nor did I seek
release of it from him. So I ask You through Your benevolence, generosity, and abundance of what You
possess that You satisfy them on my behalf, and not give them a position over me that will decrease my
good deeds; for You possess what You can satisfy them with on my behalf and I do not possess what to
satisfy them with; and do not allow for their bad deeds to find a path over my good deeds on the Day of
Judgment.)

(O Allah! You are my Lord! None has the right to be worshipped but You. You created me and I am Your
slave, and I am faithful to my covenant and my promise as much as I can. I seek refuge with You from all
the evil I have done. I acknowledge before You all the blessings You have bestowed upon me, and I confess
to You all my sins. So I entreat You to forgive my sins, for nobody can forgive sins except You.)
Shaddad ibn Aws (radiAllahu anhu) relates that the Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wasalam) said that he (Sayyid al-Istighfar) most
superior way of asking for forgiveness from Allah is to say (the above du'a). That "If somebody recites it during the day with firm
faith in it, and dies on the same day before the evening, he will be from the people of Paradise; and if somebody recites it at night
with firm faith in it, and dies before the morning, he will be from the people of Paradise."

O Allah! I beseech You for guidance, piety, chastity and contentment (Riyad As-Salihin 1468}

ْ ‫ر ﱠﺑ َﻨﺎ َو‬،

ُ ‫ﺖ اﻟ ﱠﺘ ﱠﻮ‬
‫اب اﻟ ﱠﺮ ِﺣ ْﻴﻢ‬ َ ‫ِإ ﱠﻧ‬
َ ‫ﻚ أ ْﻧ‬
“Our Lord, make us devoted to You; make our descendants into a community devoted to You. Show us
how to worship and accept our repentance, for You are the Ever Relenting, the Most Merciful.’ (Surah Al-
Baqarah, 2:128)

RAMADAN DUAS:

• ‫اﻟﻠﻬﻢ ﺗﻘﺒﻞ ﺻﻴﺎﻣﻨﺎ وﻗﻴﺎﻣﻨﺎ ورﻛﻮﻋﻨﺎ وﺳﺠﻮدﻧﺎ‬

O Allah accept our fasts and our bowing and our prostration
DUA FOR SUCCESS, RIZQ AND GOOD CHARACTER:

• ‫ َو�� َﺗ ِﻜﻠـﻨﻲ ِإﻟﻰ‬، ‫ﺷـﺄْﻧـﻲ ُﻛ ﱠﻠـﻪ‬

َ ‫ـﺢ ﻟﻲ‬ ْ َ‫ أ‬، ‫ﺳ َﺘـﻐـﻴﺚ‬
ْ ‫ﺻ ِﻠ‬ ْ َ‫ﻚ أ‬
ِ ِ‫ﻤـﺘ‬
َ ‫ـﺮ ْﺣ‬
َ ‫ـﻮم ِﺑ‬
ُ ‫ﻲ ﻳﺎ َﻗ ّﻴ‬
‫ﻳﺎ َﺣـ ﱡ‬

O the ever living. O the self-subsisting, I seek help through your mercy, set right all my affairs and do not
leave me to myself even for the blinking of an eye

ً ‫ُﻚ ِﻋ ْﻠ‬ ْ َ‫ﻢ إِ ّﻧِﻲ أ‬

“O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, good provision and acceptable deeds.”(Sunan Ibn Majah)

“O Allah make us among the successful people”

• ‫ﻴﺮ‬
ٌ ‫ﻦ َﺧ ْﻴ ٍﺮ َﻓ ِﻘ‬
ْ ‫ﻲ ِﻣ‬ َ ‫ﻤﺎ أَ ْﻧ َﺰ ْﻟ‬
‫ﺖ ِإ َﻟ ﱠ‬ َ ‫ب ِإ ّﻧِﻲ ِﻟ‬
ِ ّ ‫ َر‬.
My Lord truly I am in need of whatever good that would send down on me.
Musa was in need of food, water, shelter, a family, and safety. With one prayer he was granted all of that. -‘Abdullah Bilqassim.

• ِ ‫َاب ٱﻟ ﱠﻨ‬
‫ﺎر‬ َ ‫َو ِﻗ َﻨﺎ َﻋﺬ‬ ً‫ﺴ َﻨﺔ‬
َ ‫َﺣ‬ ِ‫ﺴ َﻨﺔً َوﻓِﻰ ٱﻟْـ�ﺎﺧِ َﺮة‬
َ ‫َرﺑﱠ َﻨﺎٓ َءاﺗِ َﻨﺎ ﻓِﻰ ٱﻟ ﱡﺪ ْﻧ َﻴﺎ َﺣ‬

Our Lord, give us in this world [that which is] good and in the Hereafter [that which is] good and protect us
from the punishment of the Fire. [Qur’an 2:201]

• ‫ﻴﻤﺎ أَ ْﻋ َﻄ ْﻴ َﺘﻲ‬
َ ‫ك ﻟَﻲ ِﻓ‬
ْ ‫ﺎر‬ َ ‫ﻢ أَ ْﻛﺜِ ْﺮ‬
ِ ‫ َو َﺑ‬،‫ﻣﺎﻟَﻲ َو َو َﻟ َﺪي‬ ‫اﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻬ ﱠ‬
"O Allah! Increase my wealth and children, and bestow Your Blessing on whatever You have given me"
 • ‫ﻴﻤﺎ َر َز ْﻗ َﺘﻨِﻲ‬
َ ‫ك ِﻟﻲ ِﻓ‬
ْ ‫ﺎر‬ ‫اﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻬ ﱠ‬
ِ ‫ﻢ َﺑ‬
"O Allah, bless me in what You have provided me."

• ‫ار ُز ْﻗﻨِﻲ‬
ْ ‫ﻫ ِﺪﻧِﻲ َو َﻋﺎ ِﻓﻨِﻲ َو‬
ْ ‫ﻤﻨِﻲ َوا‬
ْ ‫ار َﺣ‬ ‫اَﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻬ ﱠ‬
ْ ‫ﻢ اِ ْﻏ ِﻔ ْﺮ ِﻟﻲ َو‬
O Allah! Forgive me, have mercy on me, guide me, guard me against harm and provide me with
sustenance and salvation. [Muslim]

‫ﺎل‬ِ ‫اﻟﺮ َﺟ‬
ِ ّ ‫اﻟﺪ ْﱠﻳ ِﻦ َو َﻏﻠ ََﺒ ِﺔ‬
O Allah, I take refuge in You from anxiety and sorrow, weakness and laziness, miserliness and cowardice,
the burden of debts and from being overpowered by men. [Bukhari]

• ‫ﺳﻮاك‬

‫ﻚ َﻋ ﱠ‬ ْ ‫ﺮاﻣﻚ َوأَ ْﻏﻨِﻨﻲ ِﺑ َﻔ‬

َ ‫ﻢ اﻛْ ِﻔﻨﻲ ِﺑ َﺤ�� ِﻟ‬

O Allah! Provide me with lawful (Halal) livelihood, adequate to my needs instead of the unlawful (Haram),
and make me suffice with Your graces needing nothing from anyone else. [Tirhmidhi]

ِ ‫ﻦ ا ْﻟﻜَ ِﺬ‬

ُ ‫ﺼ ُﺪ‬‫ﻣﺎ ُﺗ ْﺨ ِﻔﻲ اﻟ ﱡ‬ َ ‫َﻢ َﺧﺎﺋِ َﻨﺔَ ا��َ ْﻋ ُﻴ ِﻦ َو‬ َ ‫ﻦ ا ْﻟ ِﺨ َﻴﺎ َﻧ ِﺔ َﻓ ِﺈ ﱠﻧ‬
ُ ‫ﻚ َﺗ ْﻌﻠ‬ َ ‫ِﻣ‬
‘O Allah! Purify my heart from hypocrisy, my deeds from any kind of riya (ostentation), my tongue from lying, and
my eye from treachery. For indeed You know the treachery of the eyes and what the hearts conceal.’

• ‫ق‬ ُ ‫ﺎق َو‬
ِ ‫ﺎق َواﻟ ّ ِﻨ َﻔ‬
ِ ‫اﻟﺸ َﻘ‬
ِّ ‫ﻦ‬ َ ‫ﻢ ِإ ّ ِﻧﻲ أَ ُﻋﻮ ُذ ِﺑ‬
َ ‫ﻚ ِﻣ‬ ‫اﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻬ ﱠ‬
“Oh Allah, I seek refuge with You from opposing the truth, hypocrisy and bad manners.” [Sunan An-Nasai]

• ‫ وا��ﻫﻮاء‬،‫ وا��ﻋﻤﺎل‬،‫اﻟﻠﻬﻢ إﻧﻲ أﻋﻮذ ﺑﻚ ﻣﻦ ﻣﻨﻜﺮات ا��ﺧ��ق‬

“Oh Allah! I seek refuge in You from undesirable manners, deeds, and aspirations.” [Tirmidhi]

‫ﺿﺎ ِﺑﺎ ْﻟ َﻘ َﺪر اﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻬ ﱠ‬

• ‫ﻢ‬ َ ‫اﻟﺮ‬

“O Allah I ask you for good health, dignified restraint, trustworthiness, good character, and contentment with
Divine decree.” [Bayhaqi]
DUAS FOR GOOD HEALTH AND PROTECTION FROM HARM AND SICKNESS

• ‫ﺼـﺮي‬َ ‫ﻢ ﻋﺎ ِﻓـﻨﻲ ﻓﻲ َﺑ‬

"O Allah, make me healthy in my body. O Allah, preserve for me my hearing. O Allah, preserve for me my
sight. There is none worthy of worship but You."

‫وﻣﻦ َﻓ ْﻮ ِﻗﻲ‬ ِ ،‫ﺷﻤﺎﻟﻲ‬ ِ ‫ وﻋﻦ‬،‫ َوﻋﻦ َﻳﻤﻴﻨﻲ‬،‫ﻦ َﺧ ْﻠﻔﻲ‬ ْ ‫وﻣ‬
ِ ،‫ي‬ ‫ﻴﻦ َﻳ َﺪ ﱠ‬ِ ‫ﻦ َﺑ‬ ْ ‫اﺣ َﻔ ْﻈﻨِﻲ ِﻣ‬ ْ ،
‫ﻦ َﺗﺤﺘﻲ‬ ْ ‫ل ِﻣ‬ َ ‫أن ُأﻏْ َﺘﺎ‬ْ ‫ﻚ‬ َ ‫ﻤ ِﺘ‬
َ ‫وأﻋﻮ ُذ ِﺑ َﻌ َﻈ‬ُ
O Allah, I seek Your pardon and my wellbeing in this world and the next. O Allah, I seek Your pardon and
my wellbeing in my religion, in my worldly affairs, in my family and in my wealth. O Allah, conceal my faults
and preserve me from anguish . O Allah, guard me from what is in front of me and behind me, from my
left, and from my right, and from above me . I seek refuge in Your Greatness from being struck from
beneath me.
Abdullah ibn Omar reported the Prophet (SallaAllahu ‘alayhi wasallam) never used to leave out saying this
supplication every morning and evening

• ‫ﻫ َﻮ‬
ُ ‫ﻤﺎ ِء َو‬ َ ‫ﺴ‬‫ض َو�َ� ِﻓﻲ اﻟ ﱠ‬ِ ‫� ٌء ِﻓﻲ ا�ْ�َ ْر‬
ْ َ� ‫اﺳ ِﻤ ِﻪ‬
ْ ‫ﻣ َﻊ‬ ُ ‫ﷲ ا ﱠﻟ ِﺬي �َ� َﻳ‬
َ �‫� ﱡ‬ ِ ‫ﺴ ِﻢ‬
ْ ‫ِﺑ‬
‫ﻴﻢ‬
ُ ‫ﻴﻊ ا ْﻟ َﻌ ِﻠ‬
ُ ‫ﺴ ِﻤ‬
‫”اﻟ ﱠ‬
In the Name of Allah, Who with His Name nothing can cause harm in the earth nor in the heavens, and He
is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing
The Prophet (SallaAllahu ‘alayhi wasallam) said that reciting this supplication three times in the morning
and evening will protect a person, such that nothing can harm him, and no calamity shall befall him.
Aban was afflicted by some paralysis and when a man who heard the tradition began to look at him, he said to him: Why are you looking at
me? I swear by Allah, I did not tell a lie about Uthman, nor did Uthman tell a lie about the Prophet (‫)ﷺ‬, but that day when I was afflicted by it,
I became angry and forgot to say them.

ِ ‫ﺳ َﻘ‬ ِ ِّ ‫ﺳ ﻴ‬
َ ‫ﻦ‬
ْ ‫َام َو ِﻣ‬

O Allah, I seek refuge in You from leprosy, madness, elephantiasis, and evil diseases."

• ‫ﻦ َﻓ ْﻮ ِﻗﻲ‬ْ ‫ﻤﺎ ِﻟﻲ َو ِﻣ‬ َ ‫ﺷ‬ ِ ‫ﻦ‬ ْ ‫ﻦ َﻳ ِﻤﻴﻨِﻲ َو َﻋ‬ ْ ‫ﻦ َﺧ ْﻠ ِﻔﻲ َو َﻋ‬

َ ِ‫ﻤﺘ‬َ ‫َوأَ ُﻋﻮ ُذ ِﺑ َﻌ َﻈ‬
O Allah! guard me in front of me and behind me, on my right hand and on my left, and from above me: and
I seek in Thy greatness from receiving unexpected harm from below me

• ‫َﻢ‬ َ ْ ‫ﺸﺄْ ﻟَﻢ َﻳ ُﻜ‬ َ ‫ﺎء اﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻪ ﻛ‬ َ ‫ﻤ ِﺪ ِه ��َ ُﻗ ﱠﻮ َة إِ��ﱠ ِﺑﺎﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ‬ْ ‫ﺎن اﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ َو ِﺑ َﺤ‬

whoever says it in the morning will be guarded till the evening, and whoever says it in the evening will be
guarded till the morning.

‫‪O Allah, I seek Your protection from the punishment of the Hell-fire, and from the punishment of‬‬
‫‪the grave, and from the trials of life and death, and from the evil of the tribulation of Dajjāl,‬‬
