                              7 cm
A.VERTICAL MEASUREMENT:
1.Starting point mark it as A on the left side of your pattern.
        2.From A,apply 8 cm, name it as B.

from H and name it as I.
       10.From G downward measure 2cm name it as J.
C. CONNECT:
       11.Connect B to F using French Curve
       12.Connect F to J using ruler
       13.Connect J to I using French Curve
14.Connect I to line E using straight line downward.
Note : For front bodice do the same procedure/steps except for front
neckline because it is deeper than the back measurement it also measures 8cm
from A.

The drawing below shows how are you going to do with you pattern drafting, just
follow the procedure wisely.
Learning the Skill: Defining Words in Context
   1. First, read the procedure properly.
   2. If the symbol is not defined directly, read several times.
   3. If possible, define the symbol based on your own past knowledge. You may
have learned the symbol in an earlier grade, or you may be familiar with it
      because you see it everyday.
   4. Figure out the meaning of the symbol by how it is used in the pattern
      drafting.
Find the definitions of the italicized words.

              What I Have Learned
1. Pattern symbols is necessary when drafting.
2. Start with basic pattern
3. Make a three-in-one pattern,where basic,style and final patterns are
     combined.
4. Prepare the necessary materials before you start drafting this enables you
     to save time and energy.
                                      11

7 cm
                                                   12

                                        13
On the same pattern, connect the following letters.
1. Connect B to F using French Curve.
2. Connect F to J using ruler.
3. Connect G to I.
4. Connect I to line E using straight line downward.
               F G
A
B J
