Christians believe that Jesus is still calling people to follow Him; to repent of their sins, and
obey Him.

Followers of Jesus are called His disciples.

In the next few lessons we will be looking at the life of Peter, sometimes called Simon.
The Bible mentions him more often than any other disciple. He was the spokesman for the
others, speaking or acting on their behalf. Sometimes he spoke without thinking first, or
acted unwisely. But as we read about him, we will also see that he loved Jesus.
