3. On ONE end of each fabric panel, turn under
1/2" and press.

pressed edges. Trim the corners on closed end
as shown close to, but NOT cutting the stitching.

Stitch the open end closed with a 1/8" seam then
top stitch the other three sides with a 1/4" seam.
7. Place the Velcro strip as shown. Put the
HOOK (scratchy) piece on the outer or printed
fabric.
Put the LOOP (fuzzy) side on the inner fleece or
flannel fabric. Just remember: SOFT ON SOFT.
The reason that the soft edge must be inside is
that when you put it on the dog, if there is any
Velcro touching the dog, you don't want it to be
the scratchy side because it could irritate the dog.
For dog waist measurements 18" and up, use two
3" strips of Velcro on each end as shown in the
red and blue band at left.

8. Zigzag around each piece of Velcro to lock it
into place. It will receive a lot of wear and tear, so
you want it to be secure.

Reversible Dog Bandana
with Velcro closure
1. You will need 2" of 3/4" wide Velcro and 1/4-
1/2 yard of fabric.
Measure your dog's neck a its base.
Measure loosely.

2. Cut equal two triangles of fabric with the
LONG edge equal to the neck measurement plus
3".
3. Fold 1/2" on the LONG edge to the wrong
side and press. Trim the corners so that the
folded edge is even with the main triangle panel.
4. With right sides together, match up the two
folded edges and stitch the other two sides with a
1/2" seam. LEAVE THE FOLD EDGES OPEN.

5. Trim the corners as shown close to, but NOT
cutting the stitching. Turn the bandana right side
out and press. Stitch all the way around 1/4" from
the edge, pivoting at each corner.
With the fuzzy and scratchy and
sides facing UP, trim as shown.
6. Trim off a triangle from each Velcro piece as
shown.
7. Place the Velcro pieces as shown on opposite
sides and corners.
8. Zigzag around each Velcro piece.
