Place an empty container on a scale. Automatically fill the container to a preset weight. Remove the container from
the scale. Replace it on the scale with an empty and repeat the process.
102 Automatic Fill, Automatic Discharge
Place an empty container under a scale. Automatically fill the scale to a preset weight. Discharge the scale into the
container. Remove the container from under the scale. Replace it under the scale with another empty and repeat the
process.
103 Loss-In-Weight Filler
Dispense preset net weight quantities from a scale until either Low Level or Less-than-Preset gross weight is
achieved. Then refill to High Level.
104 Loss-In-Weight Filler
Product supply containers are placed on a scale. Net weight quantities are dispensed form the containers until empty.
When containers empty in the middle of a dispense cycle, the cycle is paused and allowed to resume where it left off
when the empty containers are replaced on the scale with filled ones.

Explosion Proof, Purged, and Intrinsically Safe Systems
What is an explosion-proof indicator?
Its simply a digital weight indicator enclosed
in a special case. The purpose of an
explosion-proof indicator is not, as the name
suggests, to protect the indicator. Instead,
the case prevents any explosion WITHIN
the case from causing subsequent fire or
explosion in the surrounding atmosphere.
For example, in a grain elevator application,
combustible dusts (Class II hazardous
atmosphere) may be present. A spark in a
non-explosion-proof indicator could ignite
an elevator-wide explosion. However, with
an explosion-proof indicator, the spark (or
even an explosion) is contained within the
case. The hazardous atmosphere cannot be
ignited, and the elevator is protected.

Purge

Purged systems are ideal for hazardous

environments and use positive pressure
to prevent particles, gases and fibers from
entering the controller enclosure. As an
added safeguard, a differential pressure
switch automatically cuts off power when
the pressure falls below the acceptable
level. Type X, Y and Z purging hardware is
available that meets National Fire Protection
Association (NFPA) article 496 guidelines.
The three configurations are as follows:
Type X Pressurizing: Reduces the
classification within the protected enclosure
from Division 1 to Safe.
Type Y Pressurizing: Reduces the
classification within the protected enclosure
from Division 1 to Division 2.
Type Z Pressurizing: Reduces the
classification within the protected enclosure
from Division 2 to Safe.

Intrinsically Safe

Intrinsically safe load cells and safety

barriers take the explosion proof principle
a step further. Intrinsic safety ensures
that the indicators electrical wiring and
components are, by design, incapable of
releasing enough energy to ignite flammable
or combustible atmospheric mixtures in
their most easily ignitable concentrations. In
short, an intrinsically safe device eliminates
the conditions for an explosion, no matter
what the circumstances.

Wireless Network

When operating multiple sets of ConnexLinks radios in range of each other, Sync To
Channel must be configured so that the multiple Servers stay in sync with each other
to guarantee that data is never transmitted on the same frequency. The first server
needs to be set to Channel 16 and the remaining Server(s) need to be set to different
channels. Make sure the Clients match their respective Servers with channel # and
System ID #.
Sync to Channel must be enabled on all Servers that have a channel number greater
than 16. No other configuration modifications are required for the Clients. In order to
enable Sync To Channel user will be required to download the latest software at:
http://www.aerocomm.com/rf_documents_software/lock_software.htm, then select
Development Kit Software.
Once downloaded, launch the software and select PC Settings. In the Product Field
select Connex4490. Also select the appropriate COM port and Baud Rate. Click the
About button and left-click the cursor. Type showframe, then Enter. Your typing will
not appear in the window. Click OK and select Show All Options. Click on the configure
tab and follow the directions on the screen.
