Motivation Letter
Dear scholarship selection committee,
I am writing this to express my strong motivation and sincere desire to be
selected for International Master's scholarship at Paris Sacaly University. As a
passionate advocate for civil engineering, I am eager to embark on this academic
journey and contribute to the academic community at Paris Sacaly University.
I grew up in a rural area, so I was taught the importance of being engaged and
involved in the betterment of my community from a young age. My parents
encouraged me to discover my talents as I grew older, and utilize them to address
the issues that I saw around me. As I continued through my schooling, I began to
grow a deep interest in the sciences and mathematics, which prompted me to turn
my attention to engineering and I graduated as a civil engineer.
During my graduation I have maintained a record of a high level of excellence
throughout my academic career. With an outstanding result in the higher secondary
examinations, I secured myself a seat for a civil engineering degree at University of
Lahore and completed the course with 79% marks.
As a third year university student, I completed an internship as a trainee
engineer with a company at a construction site of a multi story building. While there, I
worked on construction management and planning for execution. Throughout my
internship, I learned different types of software and strategies to make decisions for
construction plans and also learned how to work as a part of diverse team on the
construction site.
My final year project was titled " Assessment of geotechnical characteristics
of local geo-material of Azad Kashmir for building stone ". It aimed to determine the
geotechnical properties of commonly available rocks at Azad Kashmir and based on
these results, discuss their feasibility to use as a building stone.
Industrial practices in civil engineering are constantly changing with the
evolution and advancement of technology. After having acquired a strong
foundational knowledge in this field through a bachelor’s degree, I became keen to
refine my knowledge and skillsets. Through the Masters in Geomechanics and
construction at your esteemed university, I wish to acquaint myself with the newest
and the best practices in the modern industry.
I firmly believe that this opportunity will enable me to pursue my academic
aspirations, and fulfill my potential as a professional civil engineer. I look forward to
the opportunity to contribute to the academic community at Paris Sacaly University
and make a positive impact on society with your support.
