Keltron Introduction

Keltron was established in 1973 as the first electronics development corporation in India in the state government sector and comprised a holding company and ten subsidiaries producing over 100 products distributed nationwide. Keltron Controls was set up in 1979 as a division of KSEDC to introduce advanced control and instrumentation technology to power and process industries in India. Keltron Controls Aroor was later formed as its control and instrumentation division and restructured into four independent business units supported by common service groups.

The Kerala State Electronics Development Corporation (KSEDC) popularly known as Keltron was established in 1973 as the FIRST

ELECTRONICS DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION IN INDIA in the state government sector. The Keltron group of companies initial years comprised of the holding company K.S.E.D.C., and ten subsidiary and associate companies turning out more than hundred different types of products. The products are distributed through a strong sales and distribution network spanning the entire country. Keltron controls, a division of KSEDC was set up in 1979 to introduce the state of art of technology in the field of Control and Instrumentation (C&I) to the power and process industries in our country. KELTRON is one of the major pioneering Public Sector Companies in Kerala. Its ownership is completely held by government of Kerala. Keltron Controls Aroor (KCA) was started as its control and instrumentation division. During early 2000 in order to utilize its idle capital and infrastructure a classic management model. Later on Keltron Controls Aroor restructured into four self-profit generating Strategic Business Units (SBU). The activities of SBUs are supported by the four common service groups (CSGs).
