operation. During normal operation, the intake valve opens 4o after head
center and closes 360 after crank center. The exhaust valve opens at 42 0
before crank center and closes at head center. Ignition takes place at
22 0 before head centre.

a. Describe the events that would take place if by mistake, the engine
was cranked manually in a counter clockwise direction. Specifically, trace
the path of the air before and after leaving the combustion chamber the
