Rules

Objective

The aim of Monopoly is to become the wealthiest player by buying, renting, and selling
property.

Setup

1. Game Board: Place your Karachi Monopoly board in the center.


2. Banker: Assign one player as the Banker. The Banker manages money, property
deeds, houses, and hotels.
3. Money Distribution: Each player starts with a set amount of money:
o 2 x 500
o 4 x 100
o 1 x 50
o 1 x 20
o 2 x 10
o 1x5
o 5x1
4. Properties: Shuffle and place the Chance and Community Chest cards on their
designated spots.
5. Tokens: Each player selects a figure and places it on the "GO" space.
6. Houses and Hotels: Place houses and hotels (color-coded if possible) near the board.

Gameplay

1. Starting: Players take turns rolling two six-sided dice.


2. Moving: Move your token clockwise the number of spaces shown on the dice.
3. Actions Based on Spaces:
o Properties: When you land on an unowned property, you may buy it. Or not
o Rent: If you land on owned property, pay rent to the owner according to the
deed.
o Chance and Community Chest: Draw the top card from the respective deck
and follow its instructions.
o Income Tax: Pay 200 Karachi Rupees to the bank.
o Jail: If you land in Jail, you either pay a fine of 200 Karachi Rupees to the
bank, use a "Get Out of Jail Free" card, or roll doubles within three turns to get
out.
o Free Parking: No specific action; it's a free rest space.
o GO: Collect 200 Karachi Rupees from the bank every time you pass GO.

Buying Properties

 Deeds: Receive the property deed card from the Banker.


 Houses and Hotels: Once you own all properties in a color group, you can build
houses and eventually hotels.
Trading

Players may trade properties, money, and "Get Out of Jail Free" cards. Trades must be agreed
upon by both parties.

Building

1. Houses: Must be built evenly across properties.


2. Hotels: Once a property has four houses, you can upgrade to a hotel.

Rent

 Rent varies based on the number of houses or hotels on the property. Refer to the
property deed for exact amounts.

Bankruptcy

 If you owe less than you can pay, you must mortgage properties or sell houses/hotels.
 If you cannot raise enough, you are bankrupt and out of the game. Transfer assets to
the creditor.

Winning

 The game ends when all but one player are bankrupt. The remaining player is the
winner.
