PAPER AIRPLANE CONTEST
Date of the Event: September 13, 2024
Time: 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Venue: PNHS Covered Court
MECHANICS:
Preparation
1. The contest is open to all students of Placer National High School.
2. Paper planes must only be constructed out of one piece of paper:
Standard A4 size (210 x 297 mm). The sheet must be modified by folding
only! No ripping, gluing, cutting, stapling or ballasting is allowed!
3. Paper planes have to be built on site on the event day with the provided
paper by the Science Club Officers.
4. Time limit for building: 2 minutes.
5. Only 1 piece of paper will be provided.
Contest Proper:
1. There will be two categories for this event, the farthest flying paper
airplane and the longest time of flight.
2. An elimination round will be done by curriculum.
3. All grade 7 participants will be the first to do the elimination round,
followed by grade 8, grade 9, grade 10, grade 11, and grade 12.
4. The identified winner in each curriculum will compete for the final round.
5. The farthest flying paper airplane will be declared as the winner/champion
for the first category.
6. The longest time of flight will be declared as the winner/champion for the
second category.
