Exchanging of battery in EGS2000 Gamma CPU on Battery Error.
‘The EGS 2000 alarm no. 34:BATTERY ERROR indicates low voltage at the intern battery
inside the Gamma CPU, type 609.008.2104.
‘The alarm is been stored in the password protected CONNO 549 and cannot be removed
from the alarm list.
When the alarms for BATTERY ERROR is present in the E¢
software version 2.10 and forward,
3S 2000 alarm list, from
‘The following action has to be taken, in order to release the alarm no, 34 BATTERY
ERROR from the alarm list.
‘© Order new battery from Lyngso Marine, with type no. 962.001.750
+ Never turn off the 24 Volt power supply for the EGS2000
* Change the battery with main power supply ON.
* Make a soft reset of the Gamma CPU, by pressing the reset bottom in front of the
Gamma CPU.
* Change Conno No. 549 as descript in Appendix A
* Alarm should now be reset from the alarm list of the EGS 2000.
‘The Gamma CPU is checking the battery every 24 hour, so if no alarm for “BATTERY
ERROR is coming at 24 hour the system working without any problem:
The adjustment in description Appendix A. most be done with extreme caution.
The control position must be changed to ECR control and main engine most be in stop

Appendix A: Parameter changed by using of Lyngse Marine’s Service Password.
The following sections describe how to change parameters (Connor’s) in the Electronic
Governor System EGS 2000 from the EGS 2000 Control Unit in ECR.

Checking position feedback
This test must be done with the Governor disconnected from the fuel rack
Before checking the position feedback, switch of the 440 supply to the govemor, but leave the 24-
voltdeon, = C£6S SN, Dig. 960. 201.01 25
ihe brake currently locks the actuator. In order to disengage the brake, move the output plug
channel 2 (Brake Disengage) on the DO-CB to an output channel that is active (LED on) for
example channel 0 (Power Failure). You should now be able to move the actuator arm by hand.
Refer to appendix D DO-CB
Reading of the position feedback in the EGS2000 panel,
+ Enter the password as described in appendix A.
- Select point number 395 as described in appendix B. =
. Place the actuator in position 0. (Seen on scale on the actuator) F
}. Write down the value of point number 395 (approx. 500).
. Place the actuator in position 10.
Write down the value of point number 395 (approx. 3600).

Write down the value of point number 395 (approx. 2000). .

settings, I have shown the values we have in our archieve ftom the last service visit in 2003

9. Select Conno number 323 as described in appendix C. Adjust this Conno to the value of point
number 395 as read with the actuator in position 0 (point 4),
10, Select Conno number 324 as described in appendix C. Adjust this Conno to the value of point

11. Select Conno number 325 as described in appendix C. Adjust this Conno to the value of ‘point
number 395 as read with the actuator in position(10,{point 8).
12. Press ESC until you reach the main picture. =
13, Press DIAG and use the actuator fixed position test mode to check the actuator movment.
