Dear Sir/Ma
My name is Martins Michael Alakrawa, and I graduated from Saint John Minor
seminary, Nigeria. I am writing to show my interest in a scholarship for your
health and nursing care programme. I have a natural urge for helping people, and I
hope my financial limitations will not hold me back from harnessing this passion in
my career.
I come from a financially stressed family. I was taught the importance and value of
hard work and the importance of helping and taking care of others who cannot take
care of themselves. I was also taught the significance of education and how it can
help me achieve my goals in life, and that motivation me to earn some of the best
grades in my secondary school graduating set.
I developed major in interest in nursing in my secondary school in which I was the
Health and school clinic prefect. I feel the time i spent caring for the sick
students sparked my interest in nursing. I learnt to be caring, compassionate and
caring towards the sick students and was always happy to see them getting better. I
hope to render professional service and see my patient getting better in the
future.
I feel my natural passion to help people coupled with my desire to achieve success
would make me a viable asset to your University. I know you school has a reputation
for graduating excelling students and also has an excellent health care programme,
and i feel your school would give me the perfect environment to gain the degree i
need to achieve my dream career which would enable me give back more to the
community. Rest assured I would make most of the scholarship opportunity and make
you and my family proud.
