Should freedom of speech be limited?
Freedom of speech promotes critical thinking, the exchange of ideas fosters critical thinking and
helps people form well rounded opinions on a variety of subjects, additionally freedom of speech
guarantees that people have access to wide range of information which enables them to make
well informed decisions and exercise critical thought. The right to free speech encourage people
to accept the boundaries of their knofwledge. ‘’As noted in Emily Howie’Article protecting the
human rights to freedom of expression in international law’’ freedom of expression essential for
the enjoyment of other rights and is necessary for the effective exercise of the right to vote
CHANGE OF IDEAS
Freedom of speech is essential for self-expression as it enables individuals to share their
thought and opinions express their views from politics to personal beliefs to participate in public
discourse, engage in discussion and contribute to the exchange of ideas and shaping public
opinion speak out against injustice, question authority and advocate for change it also help one
to develop personal growth.
In conclusion I still maintain that freedom of speech should not be limited because it allows for
the free exchange of ideas, fostering innovation progress and the ability to challenge and hold
government accountable
