Crochet Pusheen Coffee Cup Cozy

Materials:
1. 4.0mm hook
2. worsted weight yarn in gray, yarn pictured is Hobby Lobby’s I Love This Yarn! in Greybeard
3. yarn needle
4. 2 plastic buttons (9mm)
5. Black embroidery floss

Stitches Used:
 ch = chain
 sc = single crochet
 dc = double crochet
 ss = slip stitch
 st(s) = stitch(es)
 mc= magic circle
Directions:
COZY:
Using gray yarn, ch 41

Being careful not to twist the chain, join with ss to first ch.

ch 1, turn

Round 1: [sc, dc] repeat around. Join with ss to first sc, ch 1, turn

Round 2: [sc into the dc from previous round, dc into sc from previous round] repeat around alternating
sc and dc, join with ss to first sc, ch 1, turn

Round 3-10: Repeat round 2.

Join with ss to first sc of round. Fasten off and weave in the ends.

EARS:
Make 2

Round 1: Make a magic circle and sc 6 into mc

Round 2: sc into each st around (6sc)

Round 3: [2sc, sc] Repeat around (9sc)

Round 4: [2sc, sc2] Repeat around (12sc)


Fasten off, leave a long tail for sewing to cozy.

ASSEMBLY:

Sew the buttons onto the cozy for Pusheen’s eyes. Sew her ears to the top of the cozy.
Use the embroidery floss and using the picture as a guide, sew on her stripes, smile, and whiskers.
