Article - Nature: A Great Teacher

By …………..
Nature is the best teacher and a great source of wisdom. Everything in nature teaches us something important. Nature is
indeed a blessing from God Almighty and imparts values like hard work, patience, and consistency.
Nature shows us how we can survive through give and take. Plants take in harmful carbon dioxide and release oxygen.
We give plants water, and in return, they give us fruit and shelter. Similarly, humans learn how to give and take from
other people to peacefully coexist. Animals show us how to teach our young ones; a lion teaches his cubs how to hunt,
an eagle teaches his offsprings how to fly and hunt in the air.
In conclusion, in our day-to-day life, nature teaches us real selflessness and the desire to reach an elevated state. Hence,
nature is the greatest teacher for mankind.

Article - Bridging the Generation Gap

By …………..
The generation gap is a term given to the age difference between two sets of people, especially between children and
their parents. All generations have their own set of values and view points. Parents want to bring up their children with
the values they were brought up with and expect their children to follow the same. Children, on the other hand, have a
broader outlook and refuse to accept the traditional ways. Ultimately, both are not able to comprehend each other.
Nothing in the world can be as beautiful as a parent-child relationship. It should be nurtured delicately. Spending more
time together, such as through family outings, vacations, picnics, shopping, watching movies, or taking meals together
could be some effective ways to build a strong bond. It is the responsibility of both generations to fill this gap with love,
affection, and trust. They need to develop more understanding, acceptance, and mutual respect for each other.

Speech - Impact of Media on Teenagers

A pleasant morning to our worthy Principal, teachers, and dear friends. I, ………........ of grade VIII, take the
opportunity to express my views on the topic 'Impact of Media on Teenagers'. Teenagers today depend on the media for
information on everything. It plays a dominant role in the learning process too.
Media has contributed a lot to enlightening and enriching students. However, it has also, in some ways, degraded
society. The effect of media on teenagers is far-reaching. It almost controls their minds like a giant remote control.
Watching too much TV and surfing the internet takes children away from their schoolwork. It makes them obese and
negatively impacts their eyesight.
To conclude, media can be an educational tool if used wisely. However, if it is not used judiciously, it can be a curse not
only for children but for the whole society.
Thank you!

Speech - Good Deeds Reflect Good Character

Respected Principal, worthy teachers, and my dear friends, Good morning! Today, I …………….. of grade VIII stand
before you to speak on ‘Good Deeds Reflect Good Character’. The essence of a person's character is truly revealed
through his actions. It is often said that "actions speak louder than words," and this rings especially true when it comes
to demonstrating good character.
Good deeds, whether big or small, are the fruit of a kind and generous heart. Helping others, being honest, and showing
empathy are all reflections of a strong character. Figures like Mahatma Gandhi and Mother Teresa are remembered not
just for their works, but for their profound acts of kindness and selflessness.
By engaging in good deeds, we not only uplift those around us but also build our own character. It is through such
actions that we make a positive impact on the society.
Thank you!
Article - Value of Sports and Games
By ……………..
Sports and games are vital for student life, keeping us healthy, active, and engaged. A healthy body supports a healthy
mind, and achieving great things relies on both physical and mental well-being.
Participation in sports offers numerous benefits. Outdoor activities like football, cricket, and volleyball build physical
strength, while indoor games enhance mental focus and concentration. Engaging in sports teaches us valuable life skills
such as punctuality, patience, teamwork, and discipline.
Sports also boost confidence and protect against health issues like obesity, heart disease, and diabetes. They help reduce
anxiety and depression, promoting overall mental health. With a promising future for athletes at both national and
international levels, sports play a crucial role in personal development and for leading a balanced, healthy, and
successful life.

Article - Changing Trends in Family and Social Values

By …………….
Family structures are changing. Instead of large, extended families living together, many people now live in smaller
nuclear families or as single parents. More focus is placed on individual careers and personal goals. Gender roles are
less strict, and technology affects how we connect with each other. The way we communicate and build relationships
has transformed, reflecting a broader range of experiences and viewpoints.
These shifts show a growing emphasis on diversity and personal choice in family life. The sanctity of marriage, once
considered unbreakable, is now easily broken. Divorce results from even minor discord, and the significance of religious
events has been diminished.
Overall, these evolving social values show a move towards inclusivity, diversity, and personal freedom, emphasizing
that everyone can shape their lives and relationships according to their own choices and beliefs.

Speech - Success Comes to Those Who Will and Dare

A delightful morning to our worthy Principal, teachers, and dear friends. I, ………........ of grade VIII, take the
opportunity to enlighten you with my views on ‘Success Comes to Those Who Will and Dare’.
Success is not just about talent or luck; it comes to those who are willing to work hard and dare to take risks. It’s about
having the courage to step out of your comfort zone and face challenges. If you have a dream, don’t wait for the perfect
moment—start now and keep pushing forward, even when things get tough. Every successful person faced obstacles and
failures along the way. What sets them apart is their willingness to keep going and their bravery to take chances.
So, let’s embrace our dreams, work with dedication, and dare to take risks. Success will follow those who are willing
and daring enough to chase it.
Thank you!

Article – Caring for Elderly
By …………….
Elderly people are those who have reached old age. They are in a unique phase of life that is unavoidable and can be
challenging. However, it is an integral part of human life.
Caring for the elderly means attending to their daily needs, such as helping with meals, bathing, and medication. It's also
essential to offer emotional support, as they may feel lonely or anxious. Regular conversations and spending time with
them can provide comfort and reduce feelings of isolation. This care improves their quality of life and shows respect for
their past contributions. As we all age, we hope to receive the same kindness and support. Caring for those who once
cared for us is a meaningful way to honour their lives and our shared humanity.

Subject: The Urgent Need for Tolerance

Sir
Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I wish to highlight the urgent need for tolerance in our society.
Tolerance, which means accepting others' views and actions with patience, is more critical now. Nowadays, the moment
we open the newspaper or switch on the television, we come across news of people killing their relatives, family
members, or close friends over trivial matters. People of different castes and religion cannot even stand together. Virtues
like mercy, patience, and sensitivity, which our ancestors had, have been replaced by arrogance.
To foster a progressive and harmonious society, it is essential to practice patience and respect others' points of view and
perspectives. Tolerance acts as a lubricant that reduces friction and conflicts from lives. By promoting tolerance through
education, we can build a future based on love and brotherhood. The international community has now accepted the
value of tolerance, and therefore, November 16 is celebrated as ‘Tolerance Day’ across the globe.
Let us embrace and spread tolerance for a peaceful coexistence. I hope my letter will find suitable space in your widely
circulated newspaper.
Thanking you
Yours truly
Abha
