Introduction:
1. Literature Review:
Artificial sugars are seen everywhere in daily lives. They have
occasionally led to health complications. Artificial sugars can
also cause addictions leading to weight gain. The research
project has been done to investigate how artificial sugars affect
daily diets. Information for the project was found on the
internet.

2. Problem statement:

The effect of artificial sugar when trying to lose weight. It is


important to research this problem due to ignorance of the
effects of the sugar on the body while attempting to lose
weight. The community that is intended to be helped with this
project is those who are struggling to find a balance with sugar
in their diet while trying to lose weight.

3. Aim:
To determine whether weight is lost faster if artificial sugars are
cut off from a diet.

4. Research question:
How do artificial sugars affect weight loss?

5. Hypothesis:
If artificial sugars are not consumed then weight is lost faster.

Method:
1. Variables:
Sugar is dependant. Weight is independent. Scale is fixed.
2. Materials:
Chocolates and weight scale.

3. Experimental design and procedure:

Results:
The weight that had been recorded showed that the person
who had been consuming artificial sugars successfully lost a
significant amount of weight despite having a drastic gain of
weight gain. The person who had not consumed sugar had also
lost a significant amount of weight however gained towards the
end of the experiment.
Discussion:
The person who had been having artificial sugars had
drastically gained weight due to not exercising while consuming
them daily. The person who had not consumed sugar lost
significant weight with exercise but gained toward the end of
the experiment due to sugar withdrawal symptoms causing
them to drastically binge eat leading to a weight gain.

Impacts of the project and the use of technology:


This project influenced the health community positively
because the community has information on how to diet with
artificial sugars

Limitations and errors:


The price of the sugary products limited options to test the
reliability of the experiment. It was difficult to find an area to do
the exercises.

Recommendations for future research:


Using more than 2 people, a different variety of chocolates and
more than one type of exercise.

Conclusion:
The results have shown that weight is influenced by
consumption of artificial sugars. These results are important for
those planning to do a diet. The hypothesis has been accepted.
