Miles to Go As we commemorate the 37th Foundation Day of the National Institute of Agricultural Extension
Management (MANAGE) on June 11, 2024, it is a momentous occasion to reflect on our journey and
celebrate our achievements. This Institute established in 1987 under the Ministry of Agriculture and
Farmers Welfare, Government of India, dedicated to addressing the evolving challenges in agriculture
through agricultural extension approaches.
MANAGE's journey began as a National Centre for Management of Agricultural Extension at National
Institute of Rural Development in Hyderabad, and in recognition of our expanding role, it was
elevated to a National Institute in 1992, rechristened as the National Institute of Agricultural
Extension Management (MANAGE). Our mission has been to respond to the challenges in agricultural
extension posed by a rapidly growing and diverse agriculture sector, especially in light of the policies
of liberalization and globalization. MANAGE has been striving to make enabled agricultural extension
system vibrant and responsive through innovative approached from time to time.
As a “Concept Nursery”, MANAGE has been pioneered numerous innovative ideas and programs such as Post Graduate Diploma in
Agri-Business Management (PGD-ABM), Agri-Clinics and Agri-Business Centres (AC&ABC) Scheme, Diploma in Agricultural
Extension Services for Input Dealers (DAESI), Post Graduate Diploma in Agricultural Extension Management (PGDAEM), Skill
Training of Rural Youth (STRY), Agri Startup Incubation Program , Certified Farm / Livestock Advisory (CFA/CLA) Program, FPO
Academy, Service Extension through Voluntary Association (SEWA), National Network of Agricultural Journalists (NNAJ), National
Facilitators, and Jai Jawan Kisan Program, honouring best Agripreneurs, Agri Startups, Agri Films, Thesis and Books in Agricultural
Extension etc., to accelerate and bring pride for agricultural extension discipline involving all stakeholders. Over the years,
MANAGE has enhanced its horizon, promoted multiple players and tried to reach out to more than 1 lakh stakeholders annually,
including agricultural extension officers, scientists, input dealers, agripreneurs, FPOs, Agri Startups, youth, farmer leaders, scholars
and students.
As we look forward, MANAGE remains committed to offering services in management training, consultancy, management
education, research, and information services. Our dedication to empowering farmers and other stakeholders towards fostering

Management Program (PGDM-ABM)
MANAGE commenced its 29th Batch of Post Graduate Dr. K. Anand Reddy, Principal Coordinator of PGDM (ABM),

Greening MANAGE
MANAGE announced that MANAGE is the first institute in
Rajendranagar to have a 225 kWp capacity solar rooftop
grid-connected system and MANAGE is on track to achieve
100% green campus and aim to be a role model for India in
this regard.
Additionally, he mentioned that two more units of the solar
rooftop grid-connected system are in the pipeline. For this
event MANAGE faculty Members, staff, consultants and
MANAGE family members were present. Mr. John Manoj,

MANAGE installed a 50 kWp Solar Rooftop Grid Connected
system at its campus's Ganga International Guest House on
June 26, 2024. This rooftop grid is expected to save
approximately 25% on MANAGE's electricity bill. The
initiative aims to achieve 100% self-sustainability by August,
2024.
