Fox and the grapes the fox and the grapes

A hungry fox snunk into a vineyard one day. There she saw bunches of sun ripped grapes hanging high n the vine. They they looked so
plump and juicy he could hardly wait to eat them . H e jumped up to seize the nearest bunch of grapes ,but they were too high and he
could hardly wait to reach them. He jumped again but again and again he missed. He looked up at the juicy grapes look sour anyway.

The donkey in lion skin

a donkey once found of a loin and dressed himself himself in it . Then he amused himself by roaming around the forest frightened all the
animals he mat. When the donkey saw the fox he tried to frighten him too .the donkey to roar like a loin to scare the fo but his vice came
out as a ee aw ee aw as soon as the fox hear donkey bray he said ah , my friend I might have been frightened like all the others if I had not

the man and lion

man and lion were travelling together through the forest they begin to argue as to who was the stronger – am or lion in the midst of their
quarrel they passed a stone statue which showed a man straining a lion . “there said the ‘ amn pointing to the statue “ see how a strong

the falconer and the partridge

the falconer one day discovered a partite in the nets he had set out to strap some bird . as he approached his prey , the bird cried out
“please sir let me go . if you free me I promise you I will lure many others partings inti your nets” no replayed the falconer I might have

the tortoise and the hare

one day the hare was boasting ,as usual of his amazing speed ‘no one can beat me ‘ he bragged to other animals I am swifter than the win
I challenge anyone here to run a race with me none of the animals seemed ready to accept the challenge . “what “ ? Said the a hare will
no one dare to race with me? . “I will “ said the quiet voice .it was tortoise “ you will ! th hare exclaimed .” surely you must be joking .
how you can beat me we shall see said tortoise lamely let us race it was agreed that they would race through the wood and back the
single was given and the hare hopped out of sight at once while the tortoise plodded slowly along . soon the hare was so far ahead of the
tortoise that he stooped to rest on soft grass to think that a tortoise would want to race with me ! thought the hare laughing to himself
why? I even have time for nap and he cruel d up on the grass went to sleep mean while the tortoise plodded steadily on and on after a
while he passed the hare who was still as leap just as the tortoise was nearing the finish line the hare made a great leap forward but it
was to late the tortoise had won won the race as the crept away shame faced he heard all the animals cheer for the tortoise you won you
won

Jupiter and Neptune mimosa and Momus

according to ancient legend the first man was made by Jupiter s the first bull made by Neptune and the first goose bty Minerva the story
says that when these great gods had finished their work ,they argued as to which certain was the most perfect since they could not reach
a satisfactory decision they decided to appoint Momus as judge . now . mous was without talent himself and so began to find fault with
each certain first he criticized the work of Neptune “you have not set the horns of the bull below his eyes how can he see where to strike
he then condemned the work of Jupiter .” you have not placed the heart of the man outside his body how can others see his inner thought
and feeling . ? lastly he attacked Minerva “your house has no wheels hoe you can its inhabitants move away if they have unpleasant
neighbors ? angered Jupiter took away the faulting Momus right to judge

the hare and hound

one day a hound came upon a hare resting under a bush at once the hound gave chase but as fast asn he run the hare faster and s soon
escaped a passing shepherd saw how the hound had lost the hare he called out scornfully hound you call yourself a hunter eh why that
hare one tenth your size and still he got away from out ah said hound you forget that I was only running for my supper while the hare
was running for his life

stage at the pool


one summer day a stag came to clear spring to drink as he bent his head , he saw his image in the clear water . ah, he thought tossing his
head proudly ,how very handsome are my atlas . he peered closer , and then said with despair ”but my legs and my feet are another
matter ! oh how weak and shin y they are1 “ so aborted was the stag in his own image that he did not hear the approach of the lion until
the beast was about to pounce just in time however the stag ran away it seemed as if the stag would escape his pursuer for as long as he
was on the open plain he ws able to outrun the lion but then the stag entered a forest and in his swift flight he caught his antlers in the
branches of the trees the more the stag tried to free himself the more entangled his athles become . the lion was soon upon him too late
the stag reapproche d himself woe is me how I have decide myself I scorned the feet which would save dandy praise the anthers which
have caused my downfall ..

the farmer and the stork

a farmer placed nets on his newly planted field and caught a number of cranes that had come to pick his corn seed among the cranes
there was a stork “ plese spare me master ‘ begeed the stork “and leyt me go free I am not a crane I am a stork of excelant character look
at my feathers resemble tyhose of cranes the farmer was not moved bu these words “ all that you say may be true “ he said true “ but I
caught you with these robbrs so I have every reson to think you are robber “too

the ant and the grasshopper

one fine summer day , a grasshopper was chirping and singing as if he had not care in the world . an ant passed by struggling with kernel
of the corn which he was charring to in his nest the grass hopper called to busy ant “come and visit with me for a while it is so far too nice
a day for you to be working the ant looked at the grasshopper ‘ I see that you do othing but still song all all day “ he said “ I not have time
and play I am storing food for winter days ahead and I suggest you to do same the grass hopper laughed and said thy worry about winer/
I have enough food for the present months passed the snow lay on the field the ant was content .in his house there was food for the last
all winter but grasshopper don’t have food and said aim dyeing and ant help the grasshopper and give some food

the donkey , rooster and the lion

bold that he began to chase the lion he had not gone very far however when the lion turned with a great roar he leaped upon the donkey
is the rooster watching from farmyard said sadly “alas my poor friend not realize what he could or could not do

the shepherd and the wolf

a shepherd once found a young wolf thick had been abandoned by its mother the speared took the wolf home and cared for it after a
while he began to teach the wolf to steal lambs from the nebiourging flocks the wolf proved to be such god student that one day he stool

The crow and the pitcher

A crow who was almost dying of thirst came upon a pitcher which had once been filled the top with water to his dismay the crow found
that water was low he could not reach to them he tried with all his might to knock the pitter was too heavy then he saw a pile of pebbles
nearby he took one pebble in his beak and drooped it into the pitcher the water rose a tiny bit then he took another pebble and and
dropper that in .the water rose tiny bit more onwe by he dropped in all the pebbles the water when he had dropped in a hundred
pebbles the water at the lat rose to the topthe crow drank the cool water and continuous on his journey .

The wizard

Wizard was well known for telling the fortunes of those who passed by in the marketplace one afternoon a man ran up to him in great
haste and cried “wizard! A thief has broken into your home. At this moment all of your possessions are being stolen make haste “ the
wizard jumped up in the alarm and hurried from the marketplace a townsman saw him ruing and cried out ‘ wizard ,you foretell the
fortunes of others how is it that you did not foresee this misfortune of your own”.
