Congratulations on your pregnancy and welcome to this amazing journey.


We are really excited and honoured to walk this journey with you. We will aim
to provide the best care for Mommy and baby as well as the Family and refer
when it’s needed to ensure optimum health and well-being of mother and
baby.

Guidance for your Journey with us:


• START DRINKING FOLIC ACID IF YOU HAVEN’T ALREADY!!

SONARS
• Important sonars on 8, 12, 20(Optional for Anatomical Scan) and 36 week.
• If you’d like to do down-syndrome testing a sonar should be done between
12-13 weeks at one of our Obstetricians or a qualified sonographer for Nasal
Bone and NT measurements.
• If you’d like to do an anatomical scan at 20 weeks this scan should also be
done at one of our Obstetricians or a qualified sonographer

FREE INFO SESSION


• You and your Partner are welcome to come for an Information session
• PLEASE make an appointment
• Bring all your questions and concerns

ANTENATAL VISITS
• Your first antenatal visit with us between 16-20 weeks cost is R600 without
Sonar R900 Sonar included
• Follow up Antenatal visits at 20,24,28,32,36,37,38,39,40,41 Cost R500 excluding
sonar R800 Including sonar
• Births are done at the Birthing Unit.
• We monitor mother and baby wellness
- Blood Pressure
- Urine Analysis
- Weight
- Fetal heart rate
- Abdominal growth (SF Measurement)
- Relevant Pregnancy bloods (LANCET/AMPATH/PATHCARE)
- Iron levels
• These visits are also intended to build a relationship between the midwives
and the mother and partner for the birthing journey.

BIRTHING FEES
• Your birthing fee OF R16 500 includes 2 Midwives, a paediatrician visit for
baby and 1-2 postnatal visit after birth, EITHER day 1,3 OR 5.
• A Booking fee of R3000 which makes part of your birthing fee is non-
refundable and payable on your first visit,
• Birthing fee to be fully paid by 37 weeks. You can pay once-off or in
instalments

POSTNATAL VISIT
• 1-2 postnatal visit after birth, EITHER day 1,3 OR 5.
• Another postnatal visit at 6 weeks is compulsory either with your midwife of
back-up obstetrician this has an additional cost of R600 for the visit. If you
want contraceptive this is R150 extra and a Papsmear is done at no
Additional cost during the visit but a separate Laboratory fee is payable at
the Laboratory

GENERAL INFO
• A clinic book is required if the Government is your back-up hospital and you
should do 1 visit with them to get the Maternity Book with your blood results. If
you want to do Private bloods please discuss this with us.
• If you prefer a doula we can give recommendation as this is a good addition
to your birthing journey for support and pain management.
• We recommend that you attend our ANTENATAL WORKSHOP to help prepare
you and your partner for the journey ahead in pregnancy, birth and
postnatal. PLEASE CONTACT US TO BOOK YOUR SPORT
• Appointments are made via Booking and you will be seen by either Sr
Nisanne – 082 777 1783 or Sr Anke- 082 362 9917
• Please note that we are a cash practice and not always within scheme rates.
You are responsible for payments before or at your appointment and can
claim back from your medical aid.
• Birthing fees should be fully paid by 37 weeks. NO BIRTH WILL BE ATTENDED IF
NOT FULLY PAID.
• Medical aid codes are on the contract, please ensure you get authorization
from your medical aid. This is the responsibility of the patient
