Heavy Duty Injectors

Core Acceptance Standards


Core will be accepted for exchange under the
Full Core Acceptance Program if visual inspection
indicates the following:
1. Assembly is complete and not disassembled. A
complete unit includes spring, cup, plunger, barrel
adapter and retainer.
2. Core is a style offered for exchange by Cummins
ReCon.
3. Core must be returned with plastic protective
sleeves (re-use from replacement injectors).

Damaged Core Illustrations


Although B & C Series injector damage is rare, it
most often occurs as a result of improper removal
procedures. The illustration at left shows an example of
a Bosch B Series injector with a protruding fuel return
outlet damaged beyond repair. This core will not be
acceptable for exchange.
Note: The injector hold down nut must
