Course Title The Life and Works of Rizal Course Code: GE 9

Course Description As mandated by Republic Act 1425, this course covers the life and works of the country’s national hero, Jose Rizal. Among the topics covered are Rizal’s
biography and his writings, particularly the novels Noli Me Tangere and El Felibusterismo, some of his essays and various correspondences. (CMO No. 06,
s. 2019)

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Aside from the major course outputs stated above, the following learning activities are required: this course requires two (2) major exams: midterm and final
examinations. In addition, each of the topics will require you to perform output and report.

CLASS POLICIES

 Regular attendance is expected. Attendance policy as stipulated in the student handbook will be implemented.
 Makeup exam will be given provided that the reason for not taking the exam is excused as approved by the campus
 Complaints/clarifications regarding the results of any examination/exercise/assignment/quiz shall be entertained only within a week after the return of
papers, otherwise, the scores shall be considered final.
 CHEATING in any form, in any of the requirements to be submitted, shall be penalized according to pertinent university rules/student handbook
 Students are permitted to bring snacks during classes, exercises & examinations. However, proper garbage disposal shall be observed.

GRADING SYSTEM:

This course shall use Grading Category B

To pass this course, one must accumulate at least 75 points through the course requirements discussed above.
The maximum points that a student can obtain through each requirement are shown below:
