About
Zvandiri is a local PVO which supports the Government of Zimbabwe to ensure that all
children, adolescents and young people living with HIV survive and thrive by connecting them
with trained, mentored peer counsellors living with HIV. This peer counsellor cadre (known as
Community Adolescent Treatment Supporter) has been scaled by the Ministry of Health and
Child Care across Zimbabwe and has been adopted by 13 other countries in the region with
funding from multiple bilateral and philanthropic partners.
1. Digital Health Systems (DHS) Officer
Location: Harare
Position Summary
The Digital Health Systems Officer is a strategic and technical role responsible for driving
innovation in digital health care solutions. This individual plays a crucial role in developing
and implementing innovative technologies to support our peer counsellors and improve
healthcare outcomes for the children and adolescents we support. The role combines technical
expertise, leadership, and a passion for leveraging emerging technologies and Artificial
Intelligence to transform healthcare delivery for our frontline peer counsellors.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Technology Leadership:
• Keen interest in emerging trends in digital health, including mobile
applications, data analytics, and health informatics.
• Lead the development and implementation of innovative solutions that
enhance client care, data collection, and analysis.
• Collaborate with colleagues to drive digital health initiatives.
• Be the first line of support for all digital health system related issues.
• Ensure compliance of all digital health systems to both local and global
guidelines/frameworks e.g. Data Protection, GDPR, Health Level 7 etc
• Solution Development:
• Design and development of mobile data capture solutions tailored to
healthcare workflows.
• Integration of Zvandiri peer counsellor guidance materials to support
healthcare workers.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for digital health
innovation.
• Data Intelligence:
• Produce reports and data analytics to facilitate meaningful insights from
health data that can help shape healthcare policies and practices by
providing evidence-based recommendations.
• Thought Leadership:
• Act as a thought leader in the field of digital health.
• Participate in conferences, workshops, and industry events.
• Advocate for the adoption of innovative technologies to improve
healthcare outcomes at Zvandiri.
Professional Qualifications, Skills and Experience
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Health Informatics, Computer
Science, Public Health).
• At least 3 years proven experience in delivering digital health solutions and
supporting MOHCC facilities and activities.
• Experience with Dimagi CommCare, a mobile data collection and case management
platform.
• Proficiency in DHIS2 (District Health Information System 2)
• Experience of adopting and maximising the potential of AI in the field of Digital
Health.
• Strong understanding of databases and data modelling.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform for data visualization and reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Network administration and endpoint management.
• Well versed with data analytics packages such as Python and R
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
• An innovative mindset and a willingness to explore novel solutions.
• A digital health data analyst certification, such as CHDA, would be advantageous.

2. IT Technician
Location: Harare
Position Summary
The IT Technician specializes in Network Infrastructure, Microsoft 365, Azure and Endpoint
Management. They provide second-line support to end users, resolving technical issues related
to hardware, software, and network connectivity as well as implementing security best
practices. Additionally, they manage and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 applications, collaborate
on security protocols, and support users in configuring ERP platforms for financial and
operational processes. Reporting directly to the senior IT officer, the IT Technician plays a
vital role in maintaining a reliable and secure IT environment for the organization.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Technical Support
• Service Desk and Support Ticket Management
• Troubleshoot and resolve all operational issues, including hardware, software,
and network connectivity.
• Escalate complex problems to the Senior IT Officer, MSP or Vendor where
necessary.
• Support users in configuring and using our ERP platforms for operational,
financial and accounting processes.
• Assist with hardware installations, upgrades, and maintenance.
• Perform vendor and ICT inventory management.
• Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity.
• Website management
• Microsoft 365 Management:
• Manage Microsoft 365 applications (e.g., Outlook, Teams, SharePoint,
OneDrive) as well as other services within the organisations IT Service
Catalogue.
• Ensure security and optimisation of all Microsoft 365 services.
• Assist users with account setup, permissions, and troubleshooting.
• Azure
• Manage the Azure Cloud Platform, ensuring optimisation and security
• Manage Azure-Hosted Infrastructure, ensuring SLAs are met and optimal
security and configurations are in place.
• Endpoint Management and Security
• Monitor and maintain endpoint devices (computers, laptops, mobile devices).
• Implement security protocols, including antivirus software, firewalls, and
encryption, ensuring software is up-to-date and protecting against threats.
• Conduct regular security audits and address vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with the senior IT officer to implement security protocols and best
practices.
• ERP
• Work closely with finance and operations teams to support ERP solutions for
financial and operational processes.
• Troubleshoot issues related to ERP platforms.
• Conduct regular system audits, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend
improvements.
• Documentation and Training:
• Ensure technical documentation libraries are maintained and kept up to date
for all systems.
• Create and update technical documentation, user manuals, and FAQs.
• Provide training to end users on IT tools and best practices.
• Document incidents, solutions, and procedures for knowledge sharing.
• Collaboration and Personal Development:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address IT-related challenges.
• Participate in all IT projects and initiatives.
• Stay updated with industry best practices and new technologies
Professional Qualifications, Skills and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science field
• At least 4 years in a technical support role for a Microsoft 365 and Windows
environment.
• Excellent teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work
effectively with internal stakeholders and to articulate technical matters clearly to
non-technical management and employees
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage complex projects.
• Desirable: Microsoft Certified in Fundamentals for 365, Azure and Power Platform,
Endpoint Management and Networking.
• Desirable: Experience of Zimbabwe telecoms, hardware selection, maintenance,
networking (e.g., Ubiquiti Unifi, Cisco Meraki, StarLink).

3. Digital Health Systems Assistant

Position summary
The Digital Health Systems Assistant must be enthusiastic and dedicated to support the Digital
Health Systems Officer in their mission to revolutionize healthcare delivery for our frontline
peer counsellors, supporting children and adolescents living with HIV. The successful
candidate will play a crucial role in developing and implementing innovative technologies that
enhance the work of our peer counsellors and improve healthcare outcomes.
Roles and Responsibilities
As the Digital Health Systems Assistant, you will collaborate closely with the Digital Health
Systems Officer and other IT team members. Your responsibilities will include:
• Technology Development and Implementation:
o Work alongside the Digital Health Systems Officer to help develop and deploy
Digital Health Care solutions.
o A keen interest in new technology such as AI, and its application into Digital
Health Systems.
o Proficiency in programming languages and data analytics (e.g. Python, R,
PowerBI) and awareness of AI/ML frameworks.
• Training and Support:
o Train end-users (including peer counsellors) on using digital health systems
effectively.
o Provide ongoing support, troubleshoot issues, and address user queries related
to the technology.
• Security and Compliance:
o Ensure digital health systems meet security and privacy compliance
obligations.
o Implement security protocols, conduct regular audits, and address
vulnerabilities promptly.
• Device Configuration:
o Configure end-user devices (computers, tablets, smartphones) to ensure
seamless integration with the digital health systems.
o Optimize device settings for performance, security, and user experience.
• Respond to Support Tickets:
o Manage support tickets related to the digital health systems promptly and
efficiently.
o Prioritize and resolve issues, escalating complex cases as needed.
Professional Qualifications, Skills and Experience
To excel in this role, you should have:
• Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science field.
• Minimum two years' experience working in a digital health capacity and supporting
MOHCC facilities and activities.
• A keen interest in new technology such as Artificial Intelligence
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• An innovative mindset and a willingness to explore novel solutions.
