BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

Juvenile crime poses a significant challenge globally, impacting the lives of young individuals and
the overall well-being of communities. Education has long been recognized as a powerful tool in steering
individuals away from delinquent behavior and towards positive pathways. However, the effectiveness
of educational interventions in preventing juvenile crime, particularly within the specific context of
Bahay Pag-asa in the City of San Jose del Monte, remains a topic that warrants thorough investigation.

Bahay Pag-asa plays a pivotal role as an institution dedicated to the rehabilitation and
reintegration of juvenile offenders into society. Understanding the role of education within this specific
setting is crucial for crafting targeted strategies that delve into the underlying causes of delinquency and
foster positive transformations in the behavior of the youth involved. Through the evaluation of the
current educational programs implemented within Bahay Pag-asa and the assessment of their impact on
juvenile crime rates, this research endeavors to illuminate the effectiveness of educational initiatives in
curtailing delinquent conduct. San Jose del Monte City sets the stage for this research, giving a special
view on how education, juvenile crime, and community dynamics come together in a particular location.
By thoroughly looking at the education system in Bahay Pag-asa and how it relates to cases of juvenile
delinquency, this study aims to provide important insights that can guide decisions on policies, create
new programs, and plan future actions to stop and lessen juvenile crime.

By conducting a study that evaluates the crucial role of education in preventing juvenile crime, this
research aims to create recommendations based on evidence. These recommendations can help
improve the impact of educational methods in Bahay Pag-asa and can be a model for other institutions
dealing with juvenile delinquency. Through this effort, the study aims to contribute significantly to the
ongoing conversation about preventing crime among young people, ultimately working towards a
community environment that is safer and more inclusive.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

Juvenile crime poses significant challenges to communities worldwide, impacting the lives of young
individuals and society's overall well-being. Despite various intervention programs, the prevalence of
juvenile delinquency remains a concern. This study seeks to investigate the effectiveness of educational
initiatives in mitigating juvenile crime within the specific setting of Bahay Pag-asa.

OBJECTIVES

This study's primary objective is to assess education's role in preventing juvenile crime within the Bahay
Pag-asa facility in the City of San Jose del Monte. Specifically, the study aims to:

 Evaluate the educational programs implemented in Bahay Pag-asa.

 Examine the correlation between educational attainment and juvenile delinquency.
 Identify challenges and opportunities in utilizing education as a preventive measure against
juvenile crime.
SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

Understanding the link between education and juvenile crime is essential for developing effective
strategies to address delinquency among young individuals. By conducting this evaluative study,
valuable insights can be gained to enhance existing educational interventions and contribute to the
broader discourse on crime prevention among juveniles.

SCOPE AND LIMITATIONS

This study focuses specifically on the Bahay Pag-asa facility in the City of San Jose del Monte. The
research will primarily involve assessing the educational initiatives within this context and their impact
on juvenile delinquency. However, it is important to acknowledge the limitations of the study, such as
potential constraints in accessing data and the generalizability of findings beyond the specified setting.
