DESCRIPTION
SUL-PERM® 307 is a stable sulfurized, transesterified tri-glyceride containing a unique*
mixture of poly- and mono-unsaturated, monobasic acids. SUL-PERM® 307 is recommended
as a component for enhancement of automotive crankcase and industrial lubricants including
gear oils, gasoline and diesel fuel.
SUL-PERM® 307 improves load carrying and anti-frictional properties, as well as exhibiting
secondary antioxidant performance, particularly in cross graded oils by action of improved
wetability of ring/cylinder surfaces and lowered friction.
SUL-PERM® 307 in gasoline at 120 ppm (30 PTB) and 60 ppm (15 PTB), in conjunction with
appropriate carburetor dispersant, will contribute fuel economy improvement by lubrication of
the upper cylinder via additive transfer from the carburetored fuel/air mixture. Additional fuel
economy is derived as the crankcase oil SUL-PERM® 307 content increases, thereby
decreasing valve train friction. The chassis dynamometer testing (highway speed/moderate
load) of varied mileage passenger cars has demonstrated a consumer recognizable 5-6% fuel
economy benefit.
SUL-PERM® 307 may be blended using conventional equipment and methods. The usual
handling temperature for blending is 140-150°F.
