Worlds Tiniest Frog
A newly found frog species, Paedophryne amauensis, is now the worlds tiniest known vertebrate a group that includes mammals, sh, birds and amphibians. The discovery was made by a team of American researchers led by Louisiana State University herpetologist Chris Austin.
Discovered in Papua New Guinea, 2009

Frogs usually have bulging eyes, smooth, moist skin, longer legs for leaping great distances, and spend most of their lives in or near water. Toads usually have dry, warty-looking skin, shorter hind legs, walk rather than hop and spend more time living on land.

Colouring: Brown body, black splotches with a few sky-blue spots Diet: Feeds on small invertebrates (springtails, mites, ticks) Habitat: Lives on land, in the leaf litter on the oors of tropical forests Capable of jumping 30 times their own body length Has likely been around for millions of years, just never found
