1 Scope
This standard specifies the dimensions, tolerances, required characteristics, and mass of a 100° countersunk
sleeve for use with countersunk head fasteners in lightning strike applications.

2 Normative references
This Airbus Standard incorporates by dated or undated reference provisions from other publications. All normative
references cited at the appropriate places in the text are listed hereafter. For dated references, subsequent
amendments to or revisions of any these publications apply to this Airbus Standard only when incorporated in it by
amendment of revision. For undated references, the latest issue of the publication referred to shall be applied.

EN6114 Bolt countersunk, short thread – Inch series.


NAS1581 Bolt, Shear 100° flush reduced offset cruciform.
EN2424 Aerospace series – Marking of Aerospace Products.

3 Requirements

3.1 Configuration, dimensions, tolerances and mass

The configuration, dimensions, tolerances and oversizes shall be in accordance with figure 1 and tables 2 to 5.

Mass values shall be in accordance with table 6.

Tolerances not specified, shall be in accordance with ISO2768-1m.

Length tolerances shall be ± .0100 Inches (0,254) mm

Surface finish shall be in accordance with ANSI / ASME B46.1

3.2 Material and finish

The material and finish shall be in accordance with table 1.

Parts shall be marked in accordance with EN2424 style A, using Inkjet or Ink stamping method, In addition, the
manufacturer’s part number may be added. Parts are to be bagged in accordance with EN2424 style G.
