RULES & REGULATIONS

All Teams are required to report to the ground Sharpley as per scheduled time of their
allotted match.

We must wind up the tournament in a day as we have limited time with maximum matches
so it’s a humble request to all captains to take the responsibility of your team to reach on
time and your co-operation is required for the success of our tournament.

General Rules

 The match would be played in league format.


 Teams should reach the venue before 20 mins
 Totally 8 groups , each team will get two league matches
 Topper in the each group league will be qualified to next round
 If teams equalling points in league stage then NRR will come in, if that also same
then WICKETS will come in the picture.
 A player should participate only in a single team. playing 6+2 should be added in
sporfy scoring app.
 Umpire's decisions are final
 All the matched will be played with 6 overs, 6 players a side (2 extra players for
fielding sub only in case of injury) total 8 members in a team
 If a match ended in tie, super over will be conducted till we get the match results at
all stage of the tournament (League, Quarterfinals, Semi finals & Final.
 A Super Over would be played of 1 over, 2 wickets to all out for both the teams.
 Refund of registration fee will not be entertained at any cost after Fixtures
 Player non Transferable - Player is not allowed to play in any other team (As per the
list shared by the CAPTAIN), if found in any case both the teams would be eliminated
from the tournament from immediate effect.
 In case of FINAL MATCH TIED, the winner would be decided with the A Super Over
which would be a Compulsory Chase
Batting Rules

 The non-striker can be subjected to mandating after one warning, if the non-striker
leaves the crease before the ball is bowled.
 No Runs for Leg byes and no LBW Out
 If ball got stuck in net or gone out of the net, 1 Run will be given
 One Run Is Provided To The Opponents For No Ball And Wide
 Four Runs will marked If the ball touch the net & reached boundary

Bowling Rules

 ONLY normal throw bowl is allowed inside the box


 Any form of no-ball results in a free hit for the batting team
 If a bowler oversteps the crease, it results in a no-ball
 Bowler has to ball within the given box, none of the legs should touch the
crease(side,front,back) else it be called as “No Ball”.
 Direct Ball over WAIST height and direct outside the batsman stump crease would be
a no ball, but if it hits the stumps would be declared out.
 Different bowlers are required to bowl the 6 overs (2+1+1+1+1)
 One run is provided to the opponents for No ball and wide
 Both above waist and Over stepping, Even if batsman attends the above waist ball it
is considered as "NO BALL" and “FREE HIT" will be given
 The batsman will be not out by any means except run out on free hit.
 Any deviation from the above rules will be “No Ball”. (Umpire's decisions are final)
 We use Ball Speedometer that measures up to 70KMPH

Fielding Rules

 Catching a ball rebounding of the side nets or ceiling nets will not be considered as a
catch out
 Runs can be scored during an overthrow
 Team needs to dead every ball, batsman can run if the ball is not deaded.
 Teams can change wicket keeper, Captain/Primary wicketkeeper he needs to inform
the umpire or else the next ball bowled will be declared as no ball.
 If overthrow goes out of net or got stuck in net 1 run will be given
 Maximum of two fielders can be placed behind the crease, excluding the bowler. any
additional fielder beyond this limit will result in a no-ball and a subsequent free hit
for the batting team.

Mode of dismissals:

 Ball in the air Caught out by the fielding team.


 On-strike batsman can be stumped out by wicketkeeper.
 Either batsman can be run out by the fielding team.
 Stumping on no-ball will not be considered.
 If the keeper collects the ball before it passes the stumps for the stumping, then
stumping will be not valid.
 In case of wide ball stumping is allowed(batsman is out) with the counting of balls &
runs.
 On a occasion of a NO ball only RUN OUT will be given as OUT with ball to be
counted & RUN with next ball FREE-HIT.

Fielding Restrictions:

Mandatory 2 Fielder before turf & Mandatory 2 Fielder near boundary to be used for
Fielding.

Extra Runner:

 A runner can only be used if the batsman becomes injured or ill during the match,
but not because he is tired
 His use must meet the approval of the umpires/opposite captain . (Umpire's
decisions are final)
 The runner must be a member of the batting side, but not the extra man.
 He must have already have batted in the innings, if possible.
 The runner must wear all the external protective equipment worn by the batsman
and must carry a bat.
 If either the injured batsman or his runner is out of his ground, the batsman is liable
to be run out or stumped.
 The runner is also subject to other laws such as obstructing the field and handling
the ball.

Conduct:
The We Circlee Entertainment is committed to maintaining the highest standards of the
conduct. The following rules shall apply to all persons and teams within the tournament. For
the purpose of these regulations the expressions” the players “ shall mean not only any
player, but also any team member or official.
The following are the examples of conduct which is not within the spirit of the game:
• Verbal or physical abuse or hostility towards any other player or any member of the
public.
• Disputing umpire’s decision or reacting in an obviously provocative or disapproving
manner towards an umpire at any time of the match.
• Using crude or abusive language or hand signals or engaging in similar manner.
 Abusive actions are strictly not allowed. All need to maintain the decorum of the
game or the team might be disqualified.
 For any field disputes, the decision taken by the field umpires will be final.
 All decisions of the committee of the tournament shall be final and binding on all the
participating members.
 The committee reserves the right to amend their rules at any point of time
before/during the tournament in the spirit of the tournament. Umpire’s decision will
be binding and final. No argument will be entertained/tolerated with the umpire.
 Discussion should be strictly between UMPIRES & CAPTAINS only, none of the team
players should be involved.
 If any Major Issue, Organizers will be in the discussion with Umpires & Captains, if
required
 The organizing committee has all rights to postpone a tournament in case it is unable
to play in adverse conditions like (Severe Rain / Turf damage issues) . It will
recommence from where it left off.
