Special requirements Participants MUST secure housing prior to arrival - housing is participant arranged.
Passport photo required at orientation. Must have great work ethic and excellent
customer service to guests.
Students must purchase slip resistant shoes upon arrival and assignment of uniform.
Participant may be placed in one of these positions upon arrival. Additional duties may
be assigned.
Busser/Food Runner - Clears and cleans tables after customer has left. Prepares
tables for the next customer. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include
the following. Deliver food to customers from the kitchen.Other duties may be
assigned. Removes all dishes, trash, napkins, etc. from the table and floor. Buses all
tables within 1-2 minutes after customer has left. Wipes tables with a sanitized towel
and resets all condiments. Wipes all chairs and picks up and sweeps around the tables.
Cleans restrooms and reports any plumbing problems to management. Refills water,

tea, and coffee if needed. Informs a manager as soon as a guest has a complaint or
problem. Assists servers when necessary. Follows the safety rules provided in the
Landry's Restaurants, Inc. Safety Program found in the Employee Orientation Manual
and reports any safety hazards to management.
Pool Activities Attendant -- responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and order of the
pool area. He/she is also responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the pool
slide for all guests.
Steward - is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and proper storage of all china,
glass and silver, and ensuring the highest standards of sanitation. He/she is also
responsible for assisting the kitchen staff in maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen
and all storage areas; specifically for cleaning all equipment utensils, and the physical
work area. He/she is also responsible for assisting with food storage and rotation.
Work schedule Between 6am - 10pm. No fixed schedule available, will be working weekends and

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Grooming
Dress code Depending on position. Hotel provides the uniforms, however students must provide
own non slip closed toe/heel shoes. This can be purchased in the participants home
country or at a local retail store such as Walmart (www.walmart.com).
When is uniform fee due Depends on what student brings and what they need to purchase when they arrive.
Screening
Description of drug screening policy Employees may be tested if there is a reasonable cause. If participant fails drug test at
any time, participant may be fired.
Payment
Allowances, bonuses, and/or incentives Staff members receive discounted admission to the park and discounts at all Landry's
restaurants, cost $9.80 per pay period.
Description Hours may be limited during the rainy days, strong winds.

Description Housing rent and deposit cost is subject to change based on availability. Housing rate
is per person, per bed. There are 2-3 bunk beds per room, which means 4-6
participants per room, no bed sharing. Participants are not responsible for paying their
roommates portion of rent. There is no smoking on the property; if you violate the no
smoking policy it is a $50 fine per individual or per resident if it cannot be determined
who is violating the no smoking policy.

ARRIVAL INSTRUCTIONS
Alliance Abroad provides Orientation to all Exchange Visitors either in the Exchange Visitors home country or in the United States. If Exchange
Visitors attend Orientation in their home country, they will travel directly to the Host Entity upon arrival. If Exchange Visitors attend Orientation in
the U.S., they will travel to the Host Entity after Orientation is completed.

General arrival instructions Please communicate your arrival information at least 2 weeks before your arrival into
the US, to your agency or submit it in your AAG participant portal.
Before planning to arrive to Galveston make sure you book your airport transportation
in advance, otherwise you will have to pay between $150 - $200 for a taxi upon arrival
at the airport. The following website will provide the various options on how to arrange
airport transfer and please book one prior to arrival.
Galveston Limousine Shuttle Services has routine shuttles daily. Check the website for
their schedule and cost:

Galveston Express:
http://galvestonexpress.com/ - minimum of 24 hr reservation required. Rates
information available on the website. The shuttle is working Friday- Sunday and every
other Monday and Thursday.

that time, you will need to make arrangements to stay at the nearby hotel/motel until
the next day.
