Tomek is a ten-year-old boy from Poland. He has got a sister, Natalia, who is nine. Tomek’s birthday is on the
22nd August, so he always has a party in the school holidays. Tomek’s mum and dad work as karate
instructors so they do karate a lot. Some people may say it’s boring but they really like doing it. Tomek and
his family love active and creative ways of spending their free time. At weekends they usually go hiking and
when they stay at home they love doing origami.
Tomek has got two cousins called Maria and Paolo. They live in Italy and their father is Italian. They enjoy
