PRODUCT DATA SHEET

Nyfrost 68

Nyfrost 68 is a hydrotreated naphthenic ISO VG 68 base oil to use as a refrigeration fluid and is
characterized by having very low pour point, good cold flowing and high thermal and chemical stability.
This product can be used in refrigerators using refrigerants such as hydrocarbons, ammonia and CFC's, in
screw, gear, and reciprocating compressors up to – 42 °C

The benefits of using naphthenic base oils for this application are the high solvent power and the very
good low temperature properties that are leading to good floc points for the refrigerant-oil mixture.

Nyfrost 68 is a hydrotreated naphthenic base oil, classified as an API Group V base oil. The viscosity at
40°C is 68 cSt for this product.
