Task 2:Childhood obesity is becoming a serious problem in many countries.

Explain the main causes and effects of this problem, and suggest some possible
solutions.

Child obesity is becoming a serious public health challenge in many nations. This essay will
hightlight and discuss at some primary causes of this, provide insight into the child obesity
epidemic and mitigating solutions.

There are a number of reasons for childhood obesity. The first reason is unhealthy eating habits.
Children these days tend to consume too much junk food, candy and sugary drinks. These foods
are a causing factor in the child obesity because they are very high in fat and sugars but low in
vitamins and nutrienst. Another reason is sedentary lifestyle. Childrem prefer to watch TV or
play games at indoors rather be phisical active outdoors. Childhood obesity causes many severe
health problems such as a higher risk of diseases, cancer, heart attack. As a consequence, child
obesity will become a major health concern for the medical industry for the foreseeable future.

There are several measures that could be implemented to tackle the problem mentioned above.
Firstly, the parents need to make healthier food choices and control what their children eat to
make sure that they have a healthy diet. Secondly, unhealthy fast foods should be banned from
school menus and junk foods advertising should be limited. Finally, it is necessary for parents to
restrict the time their children spend on sedentary activities and encourage them to take regular
exercises that would help them control their weight by burning excess calories.

In conclusion, there are various factors leading to the increase in child obesity and meausures
should be taken to mitigate this issue.
