Positive > 1:80 Specimen is Positive for Widal test / Presence of antibodies to Salmonella.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
* This test is for the quantitative detection of antibodies to Salmonella in serum of patients with symptoms suspicious of
enteric fever.
* The result of this test should be correlated clinically and with other Laboratory findings of patient.
* Individuals vaccinated with Typhoid vaccine (TAB) may show moderately elevated titres of all three "H" antibodies.
* Confirmation by Blood culture and sensitivity if the patient is not on antibiotics.

DENGUE (SPOT)
TEST NAME RESULT
Dengue IgG Antibodies : Negative NA
Method : Immuno - Chromatography
Dengue IgM Antibodies : Negative NA
Method : Immuno - Chromatography
NS1 Antigen : Negative
Method : Immuno Chromatography
Note : Negative test does not rule out dengue infection. If highly suspicious, repeat the test after 3 to 4 days.
Clinical Significance:
----------------------------
1. The Presence of IgG antibodies indicate immunity or prior exposure.
2. The presence of IgM indicates recent infection.
3. Presence of both IgG & IgM indicates secondary infection.
4. Cross reactions may occur with other members of flaviviridae family
5. This is only a screening test and the diagnosis of acute dengue infection is to be confirmed by an IgM capture ELISA.

TEST NAME RESULT BIOLOGICAL REFERENCE INTERVAL
Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR) : 1st hour 14 mm 0 - 15 mm/hr
Method : (Modified Westergrens Method)
Comments / Interpretation :
----------------------------------
- ESR is a nonspecific phenomenon, clinically useful in disorders associated with an increased production of acute phase proteins.
- Elevated in acute and chronic infections and malignancies.
- Extremely high ESR values are seen in multiple myeloma, leukemia, lymphoma, breast and lung carcinomas, rtheumatoid
arthritis, SLE, pulmonary infarction.
