Lưu ý: số lượng từ vựng trung bình trong part 7 là 5000 từ, nên việc có được vốn từ vựng tốt

Improve Your Office Environment Now!
Today's office environment, featuring numerous corridors, unexciting beige or white walls,
and often rows of identical, windowless cubicles, might not inspire comfort, beauty, and
energy. However, there are some easy, inexpensive ways to make your office space more
inviting.
Air quality
- Add some green plants to the décor. Plants offer a natural filtration system, increasing
oxygen levels. Nonflowering plants should be preferred, as they will not scatter pollen.
- A small, tabletop air purifier helps improve stale air and removes dust.
Light quality
- Take breaks and go outdoors. Even just five minutes before or after lunch break will provide
your eyes with a respite from artificial light sources.
- Use desktop lamps with full-spectrum light bulbs.
- Install double-glazed windows instead of blinds to reduce glare while maintaining natural
light.
Stress relief
- Earplugs or noise-cancelling headphones can block distracting noise in an open office floor
plan.
- Photographs of loved ones and places we have visited for vacation are reminders of our life
away from the office. Select a few favorite pictures as important decorative elements.

3. Lưu ý khi ôn tập

 Quản lý thời gian làm bài
Vấn đề: làm không kịp giờ, dành quá nhiều thời gian cho Part 5, Part 6, không kịp làm hết
Part 7.
Giải pháp: Tổng thời gian làm bài TOEIC Reading là 75 phút cho 3 phần. Gợi ý cách phân
bố thời gian như sau:
 Part 5 + Part 6 (46 câu): 15 phút
 Part 7 (54 câu): 55 phút. Trong đó:
 Part 7: dạng 1 đoạn (29 câu): 28 phút
 Part 7: dạng 2 đoạn (10 câu): 11 phút
 Part 7: dạng 3 đoạn (15 câu): 15 phút
 Kiểm tra lại bài: 5 phút
=> Khi luyện tập, các bạn nên luyện làm bài theo từng part và set thời gian như trên. Việc
này giúp rèn luyện khả năng quản lý thời gian làm bài, tránh tình trạng làm full test 75 phút
nhưng làm Part 5, Part 6 hết 30 phút.
Lưu ý: Với các bạn mới bắt đầu, lời khuyên là nên ưu tiên làm bài đúng trước, rồi luyện
tập làm nhanh sau. Bạn chưa cần set thời gian làm bài vội, mà luyện tập làm bài theo từng
dạng bài, từng dạng câu hỏi, tìm ra lỗi sai hay mắc phải, khắc phục lỗi sai đó, học thêm từ
vựng, ngữ pháp mới trong bài.
Khi đã cảm thấy tự tin hiểu cách làm của các dạng câu hỏi và tỉ lệ đúng cao => bắt đầu set
thời gian theo từng part để luyện kỹ năng làm nhanh.
Khi đã quản lý tốt thời gian làm bài từng part => làm full test để quen với cường độ khi thi
thật.
 Thứ tự làm các phần
Vấn đề: làm theo đúng thứ tự câu hỏi và đến cuối bị mệt mỏi + áp lực thời gian + bài đọc dài
và khó => cảm thấy rối loạn không thể tập trung làm bài => càng những câu cuối càng sai
nhiều.
Giải pháp: Khi luyện tập, thiết lập thứ tự làm bài riêng, không nhất thiết phải làm lần lượt từ
trên xuống dưới.
Ví dụ: Part 5 => Part 6 => Part 7 dạng 3 đoạn => Part 7 dạng 1 đoạn => Part 7 dạng 2 đoạn.
Lưu ý: thứ tự làm bài cần phù hợp với khả năng và điểm mục tiêu. Ví dụ: các bạn mục tiêu
450-600 nên tập trung vào Part 5 Part 6 và Part 7 dạng 1 đoạn => nên làm đúng thứ tự thay vì
đảo dạng 3 đoạn lên làm trước. Với các bạn mục tiêu cao hơn thì việc đảo dạng 3 đoạn lên
trước sẽ đỡ áp lực về thời gian hơn => tỉ lệ làm đúng cao hơn.
 Thứ tự trả lời câu hỏi
Vấn đề: trả lời theo đúng thứ tự câu hỏi và đoạn văn => mất quá nhiều thời gian vào những
câu hỏi suy luận và những đoạn văn dài
Giải pháp: học cách xác định câu hỏi thông tin và câu hỏi suy luận, đoạn văn ngắn và đoạn
văn dài => làm câu hỏi thông tin trước, câu hỏi suy luận sau, đoạn ngắn trước đoạn dài sau.
 Luyện kĩ năng đọc lướt và xác định thông tin (Skim and scan)
Bài thi Reading không yêu cầu thí sinh phải đọc hiểu cả văn bản mà chỉ cần nắm được ý
chính và một số thông tin nhất định. Skim và scan là 2 kĩ năng giúp bạn đáp ứng được yêu
cầu của đề bài trong thời gian giới hạn của bài thi. Skim là đọc lướt để hiểu ý chính của cả
bài, scan là dựa vào keyword đọc lướt để xác định thông tin cụ thể trong bài.
=> Áp dụng vào các dạng câu hỏi phù hợp. VD: skimming để tìm chủ đề của bài, scanning để
tìm thông tin chi tiết.
 Học từ vựng
Khi luyện đề, có từ mới thuộc chủ đề, các cách diễn đạt trong từng dạng văn bản cần note lại
học ngay.
Câu hỏi về chủ đề, mục đích
1. Đặc điểm chung
 Câu hỏi về chủ đề, mục đích hỏi về nội dung chính, lý do mà văn bản được viết. Dạng
câu hỏi này thường xuất hiện ở dạng bài Announcement/ Notice (Thông báo), Email/
Letter (Thư), Article (Bài báo).
 Câu hỏi chủ đề, mục đích Part 7 thường có dạng:
 What is the purpose of the announcement/ the first email…?
 What is one purpose of the notice/ the advertisement…?
  Why did Mr. Smith send the e-mail?
 Why most likely was the article/ the letter… written?
=> Các câu trả lời đều có dạng to V.
 Câu hỏi chủ đề, mục đích thường là câu hỏi đầu tiên của một đoạn văn bản. Thông tin
chứa đáp án có khi nằm ở ngay câu đầu, có khi dàn trải trong toàn bộ văn bản.
 Dạng câu hỏi này chiếm từ 3-5/ 54 câu hỏi của Part 7.

Lưu ý 1: Mở đầu và kết thúc của thông báo là Unfortunately (Thật không may) và We are
sorry for the inconvenience (Chúng tôi xin lỗi vì sự bất tiện này) là từ và câu xuất hiện trong
văn bản thông báo về vấn đề không may phát sinh. Đây cũng là yếu tố có thể giúp dự đoán
được đáp án là (A).
Lưu ý 2: Đoạn văn bản này là đoạn thứ 2 trong cụm 3 đoạn 5 câu hỏi. Trước và sau chiếc
notice ngắn là 2 email khá dài. Liên quan đến đoạn này chỉ có 1 câu hỏi như trên.

I am writing to thank you for your years of service on the faculty of the Jamaican Agricultural
Training Academy (JATA) and to let you know about some exciting developments. As you
know, JATA was originally established as a vocational school for agriculture but now offers
courses in a varied array of disciplines, including cybersecurity, electrical engineering, and
health information management. Our student body, which for the first ten years consisted
almost exclusively of locals, is now culturally diverse, with students from across the
Americas and Europe. Today's students work with sophisticated equipment, much of which
did not exist in our early days.
To reflect these and other significant changes that JATA has undergone over time, the Board
of Trustees has approved a proposal by the Faculty Senate to rename the institution the
Caribbean Academy of Science and Technology. As a result, a new institutional logo will be
adopted. All students and faculty members, both current and former, are invited to participate
in a logo design contest. Information about the contest will be forthcoming.
The renaming ceremony and the introduction of the new logo will take place at 11 A.M. on 1
June, the twentieth anniversary of the institution. We hope you will be able to join us.

Câu hỏi tìm thông tin
1. Đặc điểm chung
 Câu hỏi tìm thông tin là dạng câu hỏi phổ biến nhất, xuất hiện ở mọi bài trong Part 7.
Câu hỏi tìm thông tin là các câu hỏi dạng 5W1H hỏi về một chi tiết trong bài đọc, thí
sinh cần tìm được thông tin về chi tiết đó trong bài (không cần suy luận thêm) để trả
lời câu hỏi.
 Câu hỏi tìm thông tin không chứa các từ như: most likely, indicated, stated, mainly,
true about.. vì đó là dấu hiệu nhận biết các câu hỏi suy luận.

2.1. Câu hỏi Who?

Today's office environment, featuring numerous corridors, unexciting beige or white walls,
and often rows of identical, windowless cubicles, might not inspire comfort, beauty, and
energy. However, there are some easy, inexpensive ways to make your office space more
inviting.
Air quality
- Add some green plants to the décor. Plants offer a natural filtration system, increasing
oxygen levels. Nonflowering plants should be preferred, as they will not scatter pollen.
- A small, tabletop air purifier helps improve stale air and removes dust.
Light quality
- Take breaks and go outdoors. Even just five minutes before or after lunch break will provide
your eyes with a respite from artificial light sources.
- Use desktop lamps with full-spectrum light bulbs.
- Install double-glazed windows instead of blinds to reduce glare while maintaining natural
light.
Stress relief
- Earplugs or noise-cancelling headphones can block distracting noise in an open office floor
plan.
- Photographs of loved ones and places we have visited for vacation are reminders of our life

Letter (thư tín) và Email (thư điện tử) là dạng bài đọc thường xuất hiện nhất ở phần đọc hiểu
trong bài thi TOEIC. Thư tín được trình bày theo trình tự: người gửi, ngày tháng viết thư,
người nhận, nội dung chính. Với thư điện tử thì cách trình bày đơn giản hơn: phần trên cùng
là các ô trống gồm các mục To (người nhận), From (người gửi), Subject (chủ đề) và phần
tiếp theo là nội dung chính.

1. Đặc điểm chung
Advertisement (quảng cáo) là dạng bài đọc trình bày các thông tin nhằm giới thiệu sản phẩm
hoặc dịch vụ nào đó. Các mẩu quảng cáo về đồ điện gia dụng, nhà ở, chương trình du lịch
thường xuyên xuất hiện trong phần đọc hiểu của bài thi TOEIC với nội dung tương đối dễ
hiểu. Do đó, nếu nắm vững bố cục của dạng bài đọc này thì bạn sẽ dễ dàng trả lời được các
câu hỏi.
Bên cạnh những bài đọc có nội dung quảng cáo sản phẩm hoặc dịch vụ, thí sinh cũng sẽ gặp
những bài đọc có hình thức quảng cáo tuyển dụng. Đây là dạng bài đọc bạn cần nghiên cứu
kỹ. Quảng cáo tuyển dụng thường được trình bày theo trình tự: vị trí dự tuyển, nội dung công
việc, điều kiện dự tuyển, chế độ phúc lợi và cách dự tuyển. Bài đọc dạng này thường có nhiều
câu hỏi về thông tin cụ thể nên bạn cần tìm đúng thông tin mà câu hỏi yêu cầu.

Cấu trúc của bài quảng cáo:

 Nội dung thường xuất hiện ở phần đầu
  Chú ý xác định loại quảng cáo gì, mặt hàng gì => suy ra được đối tượng quảng cáo
hướng đến
- Hỏi thông tin chi tiết
 Nội dung nằm ở phần phân hoặc cuối, ví dụ:

Text message chain - Chuỗi tin nhắn
1. Đặc điểm chung
Dạng văn bản chuỗi tin nhắn thường là đoạn hội thoại qua tin nhắn hoặc email giữa 2-3
người. Các đoạn hội thoại Thông tin chung thường ngắn ngọn và là những trao đổi thực tế
trong đời sống, vì vậy ngôn ngữ sử dụng thường là những cách diễn đạt tự nhiên, đời thường.
- Dạng văn bản này linh hoạt nên không có cấu trúc cố định, tuy nhiên vì nó khá ngắn gọn
nên cũng khá dễ đọc, dễ hiểu.
2. Các loại câu hỏi xuất hiện
Cách làm chung: Với loại văn bản này, nên đọc qua cả bài đọc để hiểu và chọn được các đáp
án, sẽ nhanh và dễ dàng hơn việc xác định từ khóa và đi tìm thông tin từng câu hỏi.
- Hỏi về ẩn ý câu nói: Câu hỏi sẽ đưa ra một tin nhắn trong chuỗi và hỏi ẩn ý câu nói đấy là
gì?
 Hiểu nghĩa câu nói
 Tìm hiểu nội dung trước và sau xung quanh câu nói để nắm được ngữ cảnh, từ đó suy
ra được ngụ ý
Chú ý: Vì đoạn tin nhắn khá ngắn nên có thể đọc lướt cả đoạn để hiểu toàn bộ nội dung, sẽ dễ
dàng chọn đáp án đúng hơn.
 Sau khi xác định được ẩn ý, đối chiếu với các đáp án cho sẵn để tìm ra lựa chọn phù
hợp.
- Hỏi về yêu cầu, đề nghị:
 Nội dung đáp án thường xuất hiện ở nửa sau của bài đọc.
 Dấu hiệu là các cấu trúc đề nghị, mệnh lệnh, đề xuất
