Task 1:

The chart illustrates the result of the survey about people’s consumption and habit towards coffee and
tea in five cities in Australia.

Overall, people who respond the survey prefer to drink instant coffee rather than drink fresh coffee.
Nocieably, almost half of the citizens in these cities went to a café for coffee or tea in a 4 weeks period.

Specifically, Melbourne and Hobart had the same percentages of people who went to café in 4 weeks at
nearly 63%. With the same amount of time, there was only 55% citizens of Brisbane and half of
Adelaide’s citizens went to café.

Additionally, Brisbane and Hobart had the highest percentages of people who interested in instant
coffee with under 55% of the citizens. Looking at the percentages of people bought fresh coffee,
Brisbane and Adelaide had the same data with just under 35% of the residents. Remarkably, the number
of citizens bought instant café in Adelaide was higher than the number of citizens when to café in the
same priod of time.

Task 2:

The demand for shelter among people is increasing in recent years, forcing people to choose between
buying a home or renting one. In several countries, people think that owning a home is significantly
important due to the several advantages that renting home does not have. In my opinion, there are
many reasons for that belive, and depends on each country, each person’s economic status, it can be a
positive or negative situation.

Specifically, people argue that owning a house brings people multitude of benefits. Initially, buying a
house is a way for people to keep their assets. In many countries, the value of their currency may be
fluctuated and dropped over time, while the value of the house is eventually higher although sometime
it can be fluctuated. For example, the money people had to spend for living in the past may be several
times lower than in the present, which means that if people kept their money in the safe, they would
lose all of their assets after a period of time. Besides, many people want to decorate or fix their shelter in
the way they want. Owning a house enable a person to do whatever they want, which is not able in a
renting house.

I believe that, the advantages and disavantages of this situation depend on each person. On the one
hand, for people who have high economical status, they are likely to buy a house to keep their assets and
feel free to adjust everything in their house. On the other hand, people who do not have too much
money tend to rent house because they are not able to affor the price of a house. Obviously, for people
who have money, the stated opinion is positive, while for people who do not have high economical
status, it is s neagative situation.

In conclusion, there are several reasons for people believe in the importance of having a house, and the
merits and the demerits of that situation depend mostly on each person’s status.
