To become an effective Quran teacher, the
following core components are needed.
1. Subject Expertise (Quran - Reading &
Understanding)
2. How do people learn? (Educational Psychology)
3. Lesson Planning (Structured & Organized
Teaching)
4. Student Assessment & Classroom Mgt, and,
5. Rapport with learners, parents & others.
6. Quran teacher's personality.
2. PREREQUISITES
Participants should have completed any one of the
following:
Should be a Madrasa graduate OR
Read Quran – the easy way or should know tajweed OR
Should have a passion for learning and teaching the
Quran.
3. LEARNING OBJECTIVES & OUTCOMES
By the end of the teacher training course, participants will be able to:
1. Teach the Read Quran & Understand Quran Course with the help of UQA
Teaching methods.
2. Learn the UQA-researched teaching techniques for Tajweed, Arabic
Grammar & thinking skills.
3. Help and teach children interaction with the Quran and its meanings.
4. Know how people learn, prepare lesson plans, implement different student
assessments, and develop rapport with the students & parents.
5. Realize the importance of the role of the Quran Teacher in a school setting.
