Brief profile:

Dr. Deepti Vibha joined AIIMS as Assistant Professor in March 2012. She did her graduation
from King George’s Medical University, Lucknow in 2002 and was the recipient of the
prestigious Hewett Gold Medal. She did her post-graduation from GSVM Medical College
Kanpur in 2005 and then went on to do her DM training in Neurology from the All India
Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi which she completed in June 2009. She
received the ‘Manoharlal Soni award’ for the best DM resident in Neurology.

She thereafter worked at Assistant professor in Neurology at Institute of Liver and Biliary
Sciences from 2009 to 2011 and at PGIMER, Chandigarh from 2011 to 2012. She
waspromoted as Associate Professor since July 2015 and as Additional Professor from July
2018.

She sees general neurology patients and participates in other speciality clinics, including
stroke, neuroimmunology, neuromuscular disorders, movement disorders, and headache.
Her areas of research during DM training have been stroke, neuro-infections and neuro-
immunology, movement disorders, sleep disturbances in movement disorders, and epilepsy.
She continues to pursue her research interest in stroke, neuro-infections, and headache.

She has also received training in Clinical Epidemiology at the Erasmus University, Rotterdam.
