Explanations:
1. E + E = No conclusion

Thus, neither conclusion I nor conclusion II follows.

Hence, option D is correct.

2. All rewards are medals (A) + All medals are awards (A) = A + A = A = All rewards are awards.

Hence, conclusion I follows.

But, conclusion II does not follow.

Hence, option A is correct.

3. All bushes are plants + Some plants are trees = A + I = No conclusion.

Hence, neither conclusion I nor conclusion II follows.

However, since they make a complementary pair I-O,

therefore, either conclusion I or conclusion II follows.

Hence, option C is correct.

4. All bottles are glasses (A) + [No cup is a glass (E)] = No glass is a cup (E) = A + E = E = No bottle is a cup.

Hence, conclusion I follows.

Again,

All bottles are glasses (A) = Some glasses are bottles (I). It means,

At least some glasses are bottles.

Hence conclusion II follows.

Thus, both conclusion I and II follow.

Hence, option E is correct.

5. All entrances are windows (A) + All windows are doors (A) + [No gate is a door (E)] = No door is a gate
(E) = A + E = E = No entrance is a gate.
Hence, conclusion II follows .

Again,

All window are doors (A) + [No gate is a door (E)] = No door is a gate (E) = A + E = E = No window is a
gate.

Thus, conclusion I does not follow.

Hence, option B is correct.

6. Converse of first statement: ‘Some crops are signs.’ which is a surety and not a possibility. Hence, C1
does not follow.

And conclusion II does not follow either as it’s given in the statement II that ‘All crops are areas.’

Hence, neither C1 nor C2 follows.

Hence, option D is correct.

7. All songs are poems (A) + All poems are rhymes (A) = A + A = A = All songs are rhymes.

From the above given conclusion and statement III, we get first conclusion:

All songs are rhymes (A) + No rhyme is a paragraph (E) = A + E = E = No song is a paragraph.

From the given statement II and III, we get second conclusion:

All poems are rhymes (A) + No rhyme is a paragraph (E) = A + E = E = No poem is a paragraph.

Hence, both the conclusion I & II follows.

Hence, option E is correct.

8. 'No sheet is a paper' gives us an inference that 'Some papers are not sheets' for sure. Therefore, C2
follows.

Similarly, from 'All papers are books' it is evident that 'Some papers are definitely books'. Clearly, C1
follows as well.

Option E is hence the correct answer.

9. There is no negative statement. Hence, conclusion I follows.

All bags are books (A) + Some books are boxes (I)
From both the statements it's evident that they are not properly aligned and the middle term 'books' is
not being distributed in either of the statements. Therefore conclusion II doesn't follow

Hence, option A is correct.

10. No keyboard is a key (E) + All keys are rings (A) = E + A = O* = Some rings are not keyboards. Hence,
conclusion I follows.

Again, Some mice are keyboards (I) + No keyboard is a key (E) = I + E = O = Some mice are not keys.
Thus, the possibility in II does not exist. Hence, conclusion II does not follow.

Hence, option A is correct.

11. Some red are colours (I) + All colours are black = I + A = I = Some red are black – conversion – Some
black are red (I) + No red is a paint (E) = I + E = O = Some black are not paints.

Thus, both I and II are possible.

Hence, option E is correct.

12. Some mice are keyboards (I) + No keyboard is a key (E) = I + E = O = Some mice are not keys + All keys
are rings (A) = O + A = No definite conclusion follows between the classes 'Mice' and 'Rings'. Hence,
conclusion I does not follow.

The possibility between these two classes, therefore, exists. Hence, conclusion II follows.

Hence, option B is correct.

13. Some red are colours (I) + All colours are black (A) = I + A = I = Some red are black So, All red being black
is a possibility.

Hence, conclusions II follows.

Again, Some red are colours (I) conversion – Some colours are red (I) + No red is a paint (E) = I + E = O =
Some colours are not paints.

Hence, conclusion I follows.

Hence, option E is correct.
14. No cup is a wire (E) + All wires are bulbs (A) = E + A = O* = Some bulbs are not stickers. Hence,
conclusion I does not follows.

Again, All stickers are cups (A) + No cup is a wire (E) = A + E = E = No sticker is a wire. Hence, conclusion
II follows.
Hence, option C is correct.

15. All stickers are cups (A) + No cup is a wire (E) = A + E = E = No sticker is a wire, now

No sticker is a wire (E) + All wires are bulbs (A) = E + A = O* = Some bulbs are not stickers.

Hence, conclusion I follows, but conclusion II does not follow.

Hence, option A is correct.

16. Some pens are books – converse – Some books are pens. Now,

All pages are books (A) + Some books are pens (I) = A + I = No conclusion. Hence, conclusion I does not
follow. There is no negative statement. Hence, the possibility in II exists. Thus, conclusion II follows.

Hence, option B is correct.

17. Some men are old (I) + No old is a boy (E) = I + E = O = Some men are not boys.

Hence, conclusion I does not follow. But the possibility in II exists. Thus, conclusion II follows.

Hence, option B is correct.

18. Some cakes are bread (I) + All breads are toffees (A) = I + A = I = Some cakes are toffees – converse –
Some toffees are cakes. Hence, conclusion I follow.

Again, there is no negative statement. Hence the possibility exists in II.

Hence, option E is correct.

19. There is no negative statement. So the possibility exists in I. Hence, conclusion I follows.

Again, Some cakes are breads – converse – Some breads are cakes. Hence, conclusion II does not
follow.
Hence, option A is correct.
20. There is no negative statement. Thus the possibilities exist in I and II. Hence, both the conclusion I and
II follow.

Hence, option E is correct.

21. All sofas are beds (A) + Some beds are tables (I) → Middle term 'Beds' is not distributed in either of the
statements. Therefore, no definite conclusion follows between the classes 'Sofas' and 'Tables'.
Therefore possibility between these classes may exist.

Hence, conclusion I follows.

Now,

Some beds are tables → converse → Some tables are beds.

Hence, conclusion II also follows.

Hence, option E is correct.

22. Some remarks are comments (I) + Some comments are birds (I) = I + I = I = No conclusion follows.

So, conclusion I does not follow.

But the converse of second statement, we get ‘Some birds are comments’ which is conclusion II.

Hence, Conclusion II follows.

Hence, option B is correct.

23. No fruit is a field (E) + All fields are pink (A) = E + A = O = ‘Some fruits are not pink.’ Which is not follows
any conclusions.

Converse of statement I we get, ‘No field is a fruit.’ which is not in given conclusions.

Hence, conclusion I & II does not follow.

Hence, option D is correct.

24. No table is a chair (E) – converse – No chair is a table (E).
Hence conclusion I does not follow.

Again, All woods are tables (A) + No table is a chair (E) = A + E = E = No wood is a chair.
Hence conclusion II follows.

Hence, option B is correct.

25. All dogs are animals (A) + No animal is a snake (E) = A + E = E = No dog is a snake.
Hence conclusion I does not follow.

exists because the statement are positive. Hence, conclusion I follows.

As statements II and III are positives therefore, conclusions II and III do not follow.

Hence, option B is correct.

35. From the statement II and III we conclude that “Some tables being jar a possibility”. So the conclusion I
follows.

All chairs are tables (A) + All tables are bottles (A) = A + A = A = All chairs are bottles – converse – Some
bottles are chairs. Hence, conclusion II follows.

Some bottles are jars (I) + No jar is bucket (E) = I + E = O* = Some bottles are not bucket.

Hence, all the conclusions follow

Hence, option C is correct.
