CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION

GLOBAL LOGISTICS & TRANSPORT CO.,LTD is located 3rd Floor, 55 Le Quoc

Hung Street, Ward 13, District 4, HO CHI MINH CITY, VIETNAM

The company’s is one of the top businesses in the logistics sector, and Glotrans is
another name for the company's abbreviation. The business expands quickly and is
happy to have earned a solid reputation in Vietnam by making a substantial
contribution to the nation's transportation sector. These outcomes were made possible
by a group of leaders that worked closely together, listened to one another, constantly
learned, developed new products and improved existing ones to better serve their
customers' requirements.

The business demonstrates that they constantly welcome and grow a workforce of
enthusiastic, highly qualified, and devoted employees.

The company's philosophy is always "taking care of and sharing with customers."
Glotrans will be a dependable partner for import-export companies, constantly
working to guarantee reasonable rates and uphold the reputation of service quality and

CHAPTER 2: OVERVIEW OF THE INTERNSHIP

2.1 Overview of the internship

Week Job description

1 I was instructed by Ms. Man because it was the first week I had worked

for the company as a trainee at Thu Dau Mot School.

As a new employee, I spent my first week just went to the company to

read a brief summary of the procedure for creating and learning the rules

and regulations that must be observed in a team.

2 This is one of the weeks where I am quite frightened and have to study a

lot of language about the logistics because I will be taking an English

proficiency test in the second week to evaluate my ability afther that they

plan work correctly suitable for me . I sought the assistance of staff

members with a wider expertise in the area of logistics so that I could

overcome it.

A rule test that I studied from last week was also given to me and i have to

finish.

3 I was given the task of performing odd chores at work in the third week,

and the section they placed me in was completely in English to interact

with clients.

I learned more about terminology particular to this job while performing

tasks like photocopy documents for staff members.

4 I became familiar with the job during the fourth week and was offered an

internship at the "Oversea" department.

Making sales calls to both potential and current clients in order to find new

clients is one of the job's responsibilities.

 Expanding the search, establishing links, and interacting with the

organization's agent partners in associations (Logistics Networks) around

the world are the department's three main goals.

In this week, I just went to organize the papers and learn from the

department's guide as well as the work stages I will have to do, so I also

tried to memorize and take notes of what I saw. to serve you better in the

coming weeks

5 My job this week is assigned by my boss to arrange an appointment with

the agent of " SANCO INTERNATIONAL LOGISTICS LTD "

After scheduling an appointment, they will come to the company and I

will have to entertain and communicate with them briefly about the

company and work and then hand it over to the boss in other major items.

Due to the preparation of what needs to be introduced, the work is also

completed quickly and smoothly

6 Because it's company policy to check dealers twice a week, I did a full

check this week and expect a welcome. Therefore, in my spare time, I

always double-check facts and the language I use to talk to my Filipino

clients because of the different pronunciation factors.

I need to be fully prepared to avoid making a mistake, and since she is also

one of the company's future customers I just have to follow my instructor

and assist her to gather tips and experience for yourself.

7 This week

In order to avoid harming the company, I had to carefully write email

before sending to the agent 1 day of approval, the new boss transferred to

 the agent because the work factor is not to make mistakes, so it is because

I'm still a trainee so I can't decide on my own. This week there will be a

big agent "ANB GLOBAL LOGIS CO.,LTD" and I will continue to

provide and introduce information before handing it over to the boss.

8 Most of the English for this department is mainly pronunciation because

the customers are from different countries and they all use a common

language to speak and communicate using specialized words in their

profession. It's also very important to introduce company.

After 7 weeks of work and this is the last week I check the dealer twice in

1 week because the job of this department in the first week is to check and

introduce the company to the dealer but not because of that. it wasn't easy

when this week i met the Indian agent.

I can tell from their side that there are English words that are difficult to

hear and can understand what they want so I always have a guide to

accompany and support.

The last week I did that job indeed a lot of difficulties happened right in

the last week I accompanied you guys here from an Indian agent but I

think it will be an experience and for me. I have a more positive view to

contribute to the work.

and today I also had a small party to say goodbye to my brothers and

sisters in the same department and they gave me a teddy bear and wished

me hope to graduate and come work with everyone.

indeed that is the day when I feel happy and stress-free since the first day

of joining the company

 2.2 Reviews of the internship

The task during the internship was to check with agents twice a week, find

information about potential customers and send them invitations, it can be said that

checking only twice a week seems like a no-brainer very simple but carries great

responsibility for the company.

It requires me to be careful in my search and in the process, communication is also

a big challenge for me in using the specialized terms of the job, so that i realize

that life is not easy, but as long as we believe in what we want, we can achieve it.

Skills will be accumulated and formed a lot from the experience participating in

the job.

2.2.1 Skills in using office equipment

The prior internship, I participated in teaching and seldom used any office

supplies.

During this internship, I gained knowledge on how to utilize photocopiers, certain

other common printers, and computers for work throughout this internship.

2.2.2 Communication skills in the workplace

As I previously stated, it is crucial to communicate and use English in this sector. I

will frequently see clients from other nationalities, and it can be challenging to

convey ideas in a consistent manner, talking with coworkers has increased my

openness and sociability instead of using the ideal approach at work.

 Thanks to the company's kind employees, I've been able to alter my speaking style

and use English words more clearly while applying it to the workplace.

2.2.3 Planning skills

I always need to prepare a backup plan in case the first difficulty at work cannot

be solved because this position is very responsible and requires that plans and

ideas be conveyed swiftly to clients, especially Potential customers.

Due to the high level of responsibility, I am aware that I must understand how to

organize the work order and the order of the content to provide it to the agent in

the most understandable manner.

I had terrible planning skills before, but this internship with the staff helped me see

things differently and taught me how to organize my time the best manner possible

for me. I had my eyes opened.

2.2.4 Problem solving skills

Due to the mentality is a new employee and intern, it is likely that I will make

mistakes throughout the working process, and I have also made mistakes

approximately three to four times during the working process, but how do I rectify

them? I met colleagues in the same department who seek help when they make

mistakes at work. I feel really sorry for my actions and my manager usually solve

the problems I can't fix on my own.

They are really excited and give me a lot of advice on how to introduce the

business to customers without stumbling over words and remembering details,

 which calls for a procedure and certain tricks. I'm more assured when I'm speaking

to clients and more confident when facing clients and I don't make mistakes.

2.2.5 Skills to receive and act upon criticism

Since nobody is flawless from birth and we all have different duties at work, as a

new employee I constantly listen anh have my own opinion. Every day in life is a

lesson, and when we have many tiny lessons, we can draw experiences for

ourselves and become a final version, thus we must always learn from those who

have gone before and draw on their experience for myself.

I created a self-assessment of that week's work attitude and requested everyone to

comment and self-criticize to better perfect from everyone's opinions in an effort

to prevent unwarranted emotional disputes amongst coworkers.

That's one of the concepts I believe I've developed.

 CHAPTER 3: CONCLUSION

My internship experience in Ho Chi Minh City has opened my eyes to many new

insights on the pace of life in two various places. In my first internship, I decided

to work as a preschool teacher in the Binh Duong province. It was a very

interesting and wonderful experience, but for this internship, I want to move to a

different location to learn more about myself in terms of my major. As a result,

I've also changed and developed more mature thoughts, thanks to the influence of

my family, people in Saigon and coworkers at the business.

I was fortunate to have a lot of internship chances while I was an undergraduate

student; as a result, I had time to evaluate my skills, determine what I liked, and

locate a job after I graduated. Through this second internship, I was able to find a

new direction for my future job, become more creative, and understand the

significance of internships to many businesses. Each job has its own unique

responsibilities, and because of my internship and the support of everyone at the

organization, I have discovered that I am gradually maturing. It also helps me

because my major will have more options to aid my life later and obtain more

experience for me.

I am hoping that my next internship will be more mature, and I want to thank the

school once more for giving me the chance to complete the internship Thu Dau

Mot University has made provisions to support students' integration with their

chosen major, and I believe this is one of the few chances available to students

there.
