Overview of the Biology Club
The St. Joseph’s Convent San Fernando Biology Club aims to encourage students to
pursue an occupation in the biological field. We strive to make learning biology fun,
interesting and an easy experience by incorporating enjoyable activities such as
experiments, scavenger hunts and much more into our weekly meetings. In addition to
heightening students’ knowledge about biology, the SJCSF Biology Club also helps
develop social and leadership skills, communication skills and it teaches students how to
work together cohesively. One of our main goals is to enter as many secondary school
competitions as students can also gain leadership skills in this aspect of the club.

Respect All Members: Treat everyone’s opinions and contributions with respect,
fostering a positive environment.
Stay On Topic: Keep discussions focused on biology-related subjects to ensure
productive meetings.
Participate Actively: Engage in club activities, discussions, and projects to promote
collaboration.
Be Prepared: Come to meetings with writing material and related items.
Punctuality: Arrive on time for meetings and events to show respect for fellow
members’ time.
Encourage Inclusivity: Welcome new members and promote diversity within the
club.

NOTICE
Notice is hereby given by the St. Joseph’s Convent San Fernando Biology Club to the
student body that the weekly meeting would be hosted. The first meeting of the school’s
term will be held in the Junior Biology Lab on Friday 27 th January 2021 at promptly 11:50
a.m.

Minutes of Meeting of SJCSF Biology Club.
Date: Friday 27th January 2021. Time: 11:52 a.m.
Members present (Executives): Lia Jackson, Samara Ramkissoon, Riley Cooper, and Tyler
Lutchman.
Members absent (Executives): Anna Robinson.
1. Call to order - Meeting was called to order by Lia Jackson (President)
2. Welcome – Done by Samara Ramkissoon (Vice-President)
3. Discussion of upcoming events - Movie night will be held on the 25th of March
2021 in the Sister Phyllis Warfe Auditorium. The movie will start at 7:30 pm. A KFC
sale shall take place on the 4th of February 2021 in front of the Staff Room. A form

will be sent throughout the school so that students and teachers can place their
