Tell a Tale
Imagine you are a character with special ability who was suddenly brought
to a mysterious location along with other special characters. Discuss in
your group on how the tale will be written.
“Where am I?” I asked myself as I woke up slowly. All I could
remember was I was busy chasing my enemy, Arson. Suddenly a
lightning struck me, and my vision turned blank. I was somewhere I barely
knew, surrounded by other people who seemed to be as confused as me.
“Do you know who brought us here?” asked this mysterious man beside
me. “No, I don’t. Are you from here?” I asked. The man introduced himself
as Dr Faye. He said that he is a hero from another era. His ability is to
heal wounds. The other person introduced herself too. She goes by the
name Sandra. She is good at shooting poisonous arrow. A strange
looking man then introduced himself afterwards. He is Juvian Lionne who
can combat using martial art. Finally, the mesmerizing looking woman
sitting by the window introduced herself. “I am Maleficent and I am good
at conjuring up and making use of various elements.
I tried to explore this mysterious house, trying to find some clue on
why I was brought here. Suddenly, I found a scroll. I opened it cautiously
as I was scared that the owner of this house might suddenly appear
behind me. The scroll contained an image of a horrifying dragon (dragon /
orc / giant) and some wording below it. “Please help us to retrieve the
herb at the peak of Ironclad Mountain. We are dying from a deadly
disease and only the herb can cure it. But beware of the evil that
conquers the mountain” Shiver ran down my spine as I was reading it but
the last part gave me some glimpse of hope “ ...You will be sent go back
to where you come from once the herb is retrieved” Whoever wrote this,
is definitely the person who brought everyone here together.
I showed the scroll to rest of the great superheroes. “Let’s go get
the herbs together! It will surely be an easy task if we work hand in hand.
What do you all think?” said Sandra. Everyone agreed. The place that we
are currently at is surely not the place we want to be spending our lives in.
Although we are inside of this house, we were all freezing from the
coldness outside. I peeped out through the curtain. I could see that we
were in some kind of village. The villagers were all looking like a bag of
bones. Some were coughing terribly. They must have been suffering the
deadly illness mentioned in the scroll. We must make haste.
One old wrinkly old lady from nearby house pointed to us where the
Ironclad Mountain is and warned us about the mountain. From afar we
could see how eerie and gloomy the mountain is. The towering, jagged
mountain located at the far North is notorious for its dangerous weather.
The paths are narrow and rocky, with steep cliffs on either side. The air
grows thinner and colder as one ascends, with howling winds that never
seem to stop. The peak is covered by dark clouds with lightning
continuously striking the mountain peak. I could see fright and terror in
everyone’s faces but no one backed down. The mission must be
completed.
Juvian spotted some healthy-looking horses nearby. We quickly
climbed on them and headed towards the Ironclad Mountain. As we went
higher, the weather deteriorated rapidly. A sudden blizzard engulfed us,
reducing visibility to almost zero. The path became slippery and
treacherous, and the cold is biting. “We must find shelter quickly or we will
freeze to death!” shouted Maleficent. Dr Faye saw a partially collapsed
cave that might offer shelter but is dark and unwelcoming.
Weekend task:
In a new paragraph, write about these points-
- The group is separated in the cave, and they must rely on their
skills to regroup.
- After they have successfully regrouped, the adventurers heard
strange noises and felt an eerie presence.
- They encountered horrifying looking cave trolls who wanted to
capture them. Decide how they would defeat the trolls.
