WHEREAS, Section 34 of the Local Government Code of 1991 (Book 1,
Chapter 4) states that the local government units shall promote the establishment and
operation of people’s and non-governmental organizations to become active partners
in the pursuit of local autonomy;
WHEREAS, on June 15, 2022, the Department of the Interior and Local
Government (DILG) issued Memorandum Circular No. 2022-083, on the Guidelines on
the Accreditation of Civil Society Organizations and Selection of Representatives to
the Local Special Bodies;
WHEREAS, the aforecited CSOs have signified its intention to be an Accredited
CSOs of this Local Government Unit to pursue an active partnership with the LGU in
the pursuit of local autonomy and nation building;
WHEREAS, the aforecited CSOs have satisfactorily complied with the
requirements and criteria for accreditation as civil society organizations in accordance
with the procedures and guidelines set forth in DILG MC No. 2022-083;
WHEREAS, the aforecited CSOs attended the CSO Conference on August 4,
2022, and were fairly evaluated and found to be credible, existing and functional for
the achievements of their respective organizational purposes and objectives;
WHEREAS, Committee Report No. 2022-___ was adopted by the herein
Sanggunian on August __, 2022 Regular Session recommending the accreditation of
the aforecited CSOs for the purpose of representation in the local special bodies of
this LGU;
WHEREFORE, on motion of Hon. Reynaldo P. Suriba, jointly seconded by
Hon. Edna B. Bote, Hon. Gina Y. Libre, Hon. Harold A. Montes, Hon. Cenen A.
Angsinco, Hon. Juan A. Maralit, Jr., Hon. Clemente I. Gera, Jr. and Hon. Gregorio M.
Manggob, it was…
RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, to approve and grant the accreditation of
the aforecited Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in the Municipality of Lupon,
Province of Davao Oriental;
RESOLVED FINALLY, to furnish copies of this resolution to the Department of
the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Thru Channel; the Office of the Municipal
Mayor; the Office of the Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator (MPDC);
the CSO Desk Officer, all this local unit; the aforecited CSOs, this municipality; and all
concerned for their information, guidance and appropriate action.
