Conscious Collective
Conscious Collective is an initiative of the Godrej Enterprises
Group aimed at exploring how design shapes spaces to inspire &
delight, improve mental and physical well-being, reduce the
impact on our environment, bring people together and create a
climate conscious future for ‘better living for we, not just me’,
Campus Connect
With the thought of a ‘climate conscious future’ at the center of
their theme, Conscious Collective Campus Connect in
collaboration with Architecture + Design, invites students from
across institutes in the country to send in their ideas & designs for
working model installations to be showcased at the Conscious
Collective 2024.
A jury of leading architects and design professionals will shortlist 2
entries to be awarded a grant to showcase their installation at
Conscious Collective 2024. The final designs will also be
showcased in the print edition of Architecture + Design magazine.
The theme of this year’s Campus Connect is ‘Design for
Inclusivity’. The theme will have 2 categories- Built Spaces &
Materials. Students of architecture and design are invited to send
in their working models of spaces that respect the context while
being climate-resilient, and in that essence take into account a
three-pronged approach to sustainability- environmental, social
and financial sustainability. In keeping with the theme of
Conscious Collective all installations will be fabricated using
waste materials from the Godrej Enterprises Group Facilities.
Category Details
1. Built Spaces
Spaces conceived & built keeping in mind ecological
compatibility. The category invites entries for net zero
buildings & built spaces that ensure reduced carbon
footprint.
2. Materials
Material plays an important role in the practice of
Architecture & Design. This category will recognize efforts
in experimenting with new conscious materials, exploring
synergy between new & old- all the practices that
contribute to create thought-through spaces.
Terms & Conditions:
• Each entry will be representative of one institute.
• Deadline for submissions: August 15th, 2024
• Entries to be sent to godrejconnect@burdaluxury.com
• The entries should have the following details,
o Concept Note: Including the theme and the
objective.
o Concept Sketches/Drawings/Renders
o Dimensions of the installation
o Working model installations and pavilion concepts
for the site-specific installation
o List of waste materials being used.
• Winning entries will receive
o Grant of up to 3 Lakhs INR along with a
certificate of participation to be
awarded*
o The winning entries will be
showcased at the Conscious
Collective 2024 where students will
be felicitated.
o The installation process will be
documented and amplified on the
Architecture+Design & Conscious
Collective (@godrejdesignlab) social
media handles.
o The winners to be featured in the print
edition of Architecture+Design.
o Conscious Collective to take care of
travel and stay of 5 representatives
per institute.
* Installation production cost must be covered within
the grant of Rs 3 Lakhs awarded to the winning entries.
