Int. House. Living room. Clock. Chair. Amit. Basanti. Tanisha. Night
We see Basanti (late 60s), closed her eyes, sitting, eating chips and listening songs/watching tv. We
see a clock its 10pm. We see the ambience of the house, all tidy except where Basanti is sitting. Its all
messed up. We hear some music in the background. Basanti finishes the last chip, searches for one
more in the packet, wont find one, opens her eyes and makes an annoying face. Just then the door
opens and Amit (mid 30s), dressed in formals enters the house. He seems already pisd.
Basanti – aagaya? Nalaayak? Itni der tak kaunsa office rehta hai? yaad bhee hai, ghar par, koi aur
bhee hai? teri biwi ke alaawa? Usee ke pallu mein ek din fan se latak ke mar jayega tu, mujhe maalum
hai. ghar par main yahan akeli baithi hoon, naa khaane ko kuch hai, na peene ko kuch hai. ye chips
khaake zinda rahoon main?
Intercut - Bathroom
We see Amit getting into the bathroom to freshen up. He hears all what Basanti says, but ignores.
Koi Nahin sunta meri is ghar mein. Teri biwi bhee Nahin aayi ab tak office se, uska kisike saath
chakkar toh Nahin chal raha. Chal raha hoga isiliye Bachche Nahin ho rahe tumlogon ke. Saath mein
bhee sote toh ho. Haan, so hee jaate honge dono, bina kuch kiye.
Intercut - Kitchen
We see Amit getting out of the bathroom and enters the kitchen. He opens up the biryani packet, puts
it on a plate, tries to taste, but decides otherwise and takes it out.
Cut to:
Int. Car. Tanisha. Mobile. Laptop. Message. Night
We see Tanisha, mid 30s, closing her laptop and sending a message to “bestie with benefits”. Divroce
papers are done. Ab bas cae chalega and hefty alimony. So, Cake banaya maine, mazey se khaaungi
aaj. Just cant wait to hop on. Abhee see moo mein paani aa raha hai.
Int. Livingroom. Basanti. Amit. Refrigerator. Night
Amit hands over the biryani to Basanti and goes to the refrigerator. He opens the refrigerator, takes
out a beer and closes the door. Immediately he opens the door again.
Cut to Basanti.
Daaru peeyega ab? Daaru peeyega toh mardanagi khatam ho jayegi tumhari. Phir kya karoge? Kya
karoge? Kuch Nahin kar sakte. Aise hee bina aulaad ke boodhe ho jaaoge. Aur agar ghalati se
Bachche ho gaye toh, jis hisaab se meri dekh baal kar rahe ho, dekhlena, jab tumlog boodhe honge,
tumhare Bachche sadak par chod ke aayenge tumhe. Gali gali, kangi kapda, kangi kapda, bheek
mangte phiroge.
Cut to Amit.
Amit sees cake and a Note slip, which reads, “Don’t eat. Amit would be about to touch it, we see,
Tanisha, mid 30s, appear infront of him, slaps his hand and makes a face. Amit makes an ignorant
face and takes out the cake.
Amit eats the whole cake and drinks bear happily and burps. He then writes a slip and keeps it
besides the plate.

Aur jab tum log kuch khaa rahe honge, tab koi kutta aake, tumhara khaana cheen ke le jayega. Kutta
wo hoga lekin, uski maut maroge tum. Arey itna hee mujhse problem hai toh, phenkdo na mujhe old
age home mein.
While getting inside the kitchen, he takes the empty plate from basanti’s hand and gets into the
kitchen.
Haan udhar paisa dena padgea. Aise kaise paise de doge? Tumhare aishaaiyon ke liye chahiye na
paisa. Chaahe iske liye main is ghar mein akele marr hee kyun na jaaun, aur meri body ko,
cheentiyaan khaa naa le..

Int. Bedroom. Amit. Mobile. Night
Amit would be watching sexy pics and then, gets annoyed with nagging mom and switch off the light
and sleeps.

Int.livingroom.Clock.Basanti.Night
We see Basanti sleeping, still murmuring something. We see the clock its 1am. Tanisha slowly sneaks
into the house, removes her footwear.
We see Basanti snoring and murmuring.
Cut to:
Int.Bedroom.Tanisha.Amit.Night
We see Tanisha, sneaking into the bedroom. She sees, Amit has occupied half the bed. She makes an
annoying face, removes her clothes and gets into the bathroom, closes the door.
Cut to:
Int.Livingroom.Tanisha.Basanti.refrigerator. Night
Tanisha in her night wear, opens the refrigerator door only to find the cake missing. She closes the
door and looks at the dining table. She finds the letter.
“I had the privilege of the cake which was in the refrigerator
And which you probably wanted to eat, forgive me.
It smelled and tasted too delicious to ignore”.
Tanisha tries to shout but decides otherwise. She tries to sneak out slowly but a glass of water falls
down which wakes up, Basanti.
Basanti – pata mujhe maarne aayi thee na. mujhe pehle se pata hai tujhe meri shakal pasand Nahin
hai. Tu soch rahi hogi budhiya kab maregi? Hai na? isiliye mujhe khaane Nahin deti ho. Kasam se teri
soch na, tere kapdon se bhee choti hai. ye kya dikhaati phir ti hai ghar par? Aadat hogayi na? andar ki
cheezein bahar dikhaana, bahar ke logon ka attention grab karna. agar tera pati tujhe pasand hai toh
kisi aur ki attention grab karne ki zarurat kya hai? hai koi jawab? Nahin na? kisi bhee cheez ka jawab
Nahin hai tere paas. Subah bread khaati hai, kyun? poha ya puri Nahin khaa sakti? Style maarna hai
wahan bhee? Nahaana bhee angreji saboon se, kapde bhee imported. Kyun? imported pehen ne
achche dikhenge? Tu jitni bhee achchi dikhne ke liye mehnat kare, tu andar se kharaab hai, sad chuki

hai.. ab moo kya dekh rahi hai, jaa ke kuch doodh woodh leke aa…warna aise hee, bina kuch bole,
bhook se mar jaaungi main..
Tanisha goes into the kitchen and puts the milk vessel on the gas stove but forgets to switch on. (arey
yahan tv ka remote pada hua hai, meri taraha laachaar, usko uthaake do, bahut irritate karta hai. gaana
toh change karo, ek hee type ke gaane kitni baar sunoongi?)
Intercut –
Tanisha imagines, Amit joyfully eating the cake. She comes back to her senses.
(Maine kya ghalat kiya hai, samajh Nahin aati mujhe. Sab kuch chup chaap sehti hui aati hoon. Jo
mila usey khaati hoon, jahan jagah mili wahan soti hoon. Phir bhee mujhe log itna ignore karte hain..)
Tanisha gets her some milk. Basanti drinks it and spits.
Garam karke Nahin laa sakti thee? Thanda doodh kaun peeta hai? tu bhee thandi, tera doodh bhee
thanda, isiliye koi mard tereme interested Nahin hai.
Tanisha just leaves. Basanti drinks some more milk.
Basanti – Ye bhee achcha hai. Suno koi moo poochega mera? Koi toh thodasa sar dabaado.
Tanisha gets into the bedroom and sees, Amit has turned on the other side, making some space for her
to sleep. Tanisha, hears a mobile beep from Amit’s phone. Curious she checks his phone. She sees him
and another woman in intimate position.

Int. Livingroom. Basanti. Clock. Night.
Basanti - Chup reh reh ke, andar hee andar ghut ghut ke, sar dard kar raha hai mera…
And she dozes off..We see the clock. Its 3.30am.
Neutral – Sunrise.
Cut to:
Int. Bedroom. Tanisha. Day.
We see Tanisha waking up to a call on mobile. The voice says,
“madam. Wo sir ka call lag Nahin raha toh aapko call kiya. Gaadi service ho gayi hai. subha gaadi
aapke ghar ke paas chod di hai, sir ne bola gaadi urgent chahiye kuch important meeting hai isiliye
raat bhar kaam karke, gaadi subah ghar ke bahar rakh di hai. sir ne bola thaa, keys, wo, letter box
mein daalne toh daal diye. Ok madam bye.
Tanisha grins.

Int. bathroom. Amit. Day
Amit would be bathing and he hears a loud thud. He runs from the bathroom. Basanti wakes up.
Basanti – arey subah subah kaun margaya. Ye bhee koi marne ka waqt hota hai. itni jaldi toh suvar
bhee goo khaane Nahin uthte. Ye koi uth bhee gaya aur mar bhee gaya. Aur main abhee zinda hoon,
pata Nahin kyun? sab meri maut ka hee wait kar rahe hain.. lekin, maut bhee kuttee cheez hai, jab

chahiye tab aati hai. kuch bhee mere hisaab se Nahin chalta. Jab chaahi tab paida Nahin hui, ab marna
chah rahi hoon, Nahin mar rahi. Dekhlena, jab Nahin marna chaahungi, tab marungi main…
Cut to:
Ext. Damaged car. Amit. Day
Amit runs to see the car damaged. Note written, “I just wanted to park the car properly”. Amit hugs
his car.
Cut to:
Ext. Park. Tanisha. Day
Tanisha jogs for a while and then does some exercise and keeps getting annoyed. Flashes of Amit and
his intimate pics, flashes of Basanti, flashes of cake,. Tanisha gets a message, from her boss, “Client
meeting today. Be on time, look ur best, be ur best version”. She looks at the time and runs home.

Int. House. Bedroom. Tanisha. Day
Tanisha drops the mobile on her bed and gets into the bathroom.
Int. bathroom. Tanisha.Mobile. Day
Tanisha switches on songs from the speaker.
Cut to:
Int.Bedroom.Amit.Mobile.Day
Amit would be looking at himself in the mirror and sees Tanisha’s mobile flashing. He opens her
mobile to check the message from “Bestie with benefits”. Its her exotic pics, sent to him and he
commenting, “cant wait”. Amit sees the boss’ message. Amit smiles.

Int. Livingroom. Basanti. Day
Basanti – arey kahaan ho dono? Subah se koi dikh Nahin raha. Zehar khaake mar toh Nahin gaye?
Mujhe akele chod ke bhaag gaye kya? Arey bataa to dete. Main apna kuch na kuch kar leti. Mera
diaper full hogaya hai. koi change karega? Main hee kar leti hoon. Idhar hai, koi uthaake to do.

Int. bedroom. Iron box. Dress. Tanisha. Day
We see, Tanisha getting outside the bathroom, getting herself ready and looks for her dress, wont be
found in the wardrobe, then she looks at the iron box and her dress. She sees her dress burnt, with a
note, “Tried to iron ur dress, to help you look good for the client meeting. Did not expect this”
Tanisha tries to shout but decides otherwise. (Nahin chahiye main hee uthaa leti hoon. Jis taraha main
khud uthaa rahi hoon cheezein, use taraha tumlogon ki laash bhee tumlogon ko khud hee uthaane ki
naubat aayegi dekhlena..Arey koi nashta toh banaake do. Kal se kuch Nahin khaaya.. kuch toh
khilaao..)

Int. Kitchen. Tanisha. Amit. Day
Tanisha would be recalling everything that happened. Basanti’s muffled voices would be heared.
Tanisha imagines, Amit burning her dress and smiling.
Basanti – arey besharam aurat, khaana jaldi la. Tera boy friend hota toh jaldi laati ki Nahin. Pata
Nahin kitne boy friends hain tere. Unsab ko pata bhee Nahin hoga ki tu sab ki girl friend hai. aise hee
apni figure maintain kar kar ke kar kar ke, mardon ko ullu banaati hai na..
Tanisha, would have it enuf, she lifts the tawa, goes to Basanti, and lifts the tawa to hit her. We see
basanti’s frightened face… We hear claps. We hear, awesome! Bravo!
Cut to:
Int. Hotel. Tanisha. Boss. Day
We see Tanisha sitting in the canteen, and her boss, congratulating her. Bestie with beenfits messages
her an erotic giff. Tanisha smiles, takes a deep sigh and would be about sip the coffee, she gets a
message from Amit. She sees the pics of Basanti’s dead body, face and head covered in blood. Amit
writes, “thanks. I couldn’t do it myself. Had to be you, sorry, not sorry. Good luck with police and
haan! Alimony..??? Ha ha ha ha”
Camera stays on Tanisha who goes blank.
