My explanation
Halloween
Hi everyone, I hope you're very well today. My topic today will be Halloween.
First of all, I want to ask you, something guys: Do you celebrate Halloween?
and do you know when Halloween is celebrated? If so or if not; ok very well
then, let’s get started.
Well, I think all of you already know about Halloween, I think that when we
were little we had the wish to go out trick-or-treating. if you think of Halloween,
you probably think of scary carved pumpkins, fancy dresses, and children
asking for sweets. And if you think of a country that celebrates Halloween, you
probably think of the United States first. although here in El Salvador it is
not a trend or tradition to celebrate Halloween, here a more common
tradition is celebrated almost the same as the day of the dead. Many
people here see it as a witch hunt.
Trick or Treat: This means that they threaten to play a 'trick', or joke, on the
people in the house unless they are given a 'treat', e.g. sweets or money. For
example: when someone goes to the door and knocks. when it opens they
scream Trick or Treat! You can get candies from each house.
Halloween Costumes: many people also dress up in costumes, Costumes
can be scary or funny; You will see many witches, monsters, ghosts, and
vampires but you might also see lots of children dressed up as fairies or
princesses. It is also a time when people have Halloween parties.
Pumpkins: Many families carve pumpkins together. they cut a face in the
pumpkin with a knife. they put a candle in the pumpkin to make it light up. This
is called a jack-o-lantern in a window so everybody can see it. You will also
see lots of jack-o'lanterns on Halloween.
HALLOWEEN
Halloween: It’s a tradition, and a popular American holiday for children and
adults. It is celebrated on October 31st every year. Children dress up in
costumes and go after dark house to house, knock on the door and say trick
or treat! People then give the children "treats" like candy
