ABSTRACT
Human Activity Recognition (HAR) is the process of identifying and classifying human
actions, such as walking, running, sitting, or cycling, using sensor data from mobile devices or
wearables. This project aims to develop a mobile application using the Flutter framework that
recognizes and tracks user activities in real-time based on sensor data.The app leverages the
accelerometer, gyroscope, and other built-in sensors available in modern smartphones to
collect data on movement patterns. By applying machine learning algorithms, the collected
data is processed and classified into distinct activity categories. The application is designed to
provide users with insights into their daily activities, which can be useful in various domains
such as fitness tracking, health monitoring, and personal productivity.Flutter, a cross-platform
development framework, enables the app to run seamlessly on both Android and iOS devices,
providing a consistent user experience. The integration of real-time data processing and
machine learning models ensures that the app can recognize activities with high accuracy and
low latency. This project demonstrates how mobile sensor data can be harnessed for practical
human activity monitoring and contributes to the growing field of ubiquitous computing.The
app's user interface is designed to be intuitive, allowing users to view their activity logs and
receive notifications when certain activities are detected. The app also includes features such
as activity history, summary reports, and customizable alerts to enhance user engagement and
utility.Overall, the Human Activity Recognition App Using Flutter presents an efficient
solution for tracking and recognizing human activities through mobile sensors, offering

LITERATURE SURVEY

Methodology: In this study, the authors explored the Introduced an enhanced
approach by combining PCA with Gabor filters. PCA handles global features,

Methodology: Introduced FaceNet, which uses a CNN to learn a mapping of faces
to a Euclidean space where distances directly correspond to face similarity. The
model generates embeddings for each face, making it highly effective for face
verification, clustering, and recognition. The authors implemented data
augmentation techniques, such as random rotations, flips, and zooms, to improve
the model's ability to generalize to different variations in the data. The model was
trained using backpropagation and the Adam optimizer, with the loss function set
to categorical cross-entropy. The performance of the model was evaluated using a
hold-out test set, with metrics including accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score.

physiological-based method involves detecting pulse or heartbeat signals using
image processing techniques. These methods are based on the premise that the
color of a live human face changes subtly due to blood circulation, which can
be captured by analyzing consecutive frames in a video feed. Emphasized on
3D mask attack detection using depth-based algorithms. Developed a hybrid
face liveness detection system using Flutter and OpenCV, integrating motion
detection and machine learning classifiers trained on diverse datasets.
Implemented a real-time face recognition app using Flutter for UI and OpenCV
for processing face data. The liveness detection algorithm relies on both texture

COST ANALYSIS
The development of a Human Activity Recognition (HAR) app using Flutter entails
several cost factors. One major area is development, which includes the time and
expertise needed to build the app, particularly for integrating sensor data, machine
learning models, and creating a user-friendly interface. If external developers are hired,
this adds to labor costs. Additionally, while Flutter is open-source, there may be tool-
related expenses, such as fees for cloud storage, machine learning libraries, or third-
party APIs used for data processing and notifications.Another aspect is hardware costs,
as testing the app requires devices with necessary sensors (accelerometer, gyroscope) to
ensure functionality across both Android and iOS platforms. There are also app
deployment costs, including one-time fees for the Google Play Store and annual fees for
the Apple App Store. Post-launch, continuous maintenance costs for updates, bug fixes,
and user feedback handling are required to keep the app functional and
competitive.Lastly, marketing and user acquisition can be significant if the app is
aimed at a broad audience. This includes costs for advertising, promotional efforts, and
partnerships to ensure the app reaches its intended users. Managing these cost elements
efficiently is crucial to the success and sustainability of the HAR app.

4.3 Analysis and Interpretations of Results
The results of the experiments conducted on the Face Recognition System highlight
its effectiveness in distinguishing between live faces and spoof attempts. The system
achieved a commendable accuracy rate of 95%, indicating that it correctly identified the
majority of live samples while effectively rejecting spoof samples. The high precision of
92% suggests that the system has a low rate of false positives, which is crucial in
security applications where misclassifying a spoof as a live face can have serious
implications. Additionally, the recall rate of 94% demonstrates the system's ability to
successfully detect live faces, reinforcing its reliability.The confusion matrix further
elucidates the classification performance, revealing that out of the total samples tested,
94 live faces were correctly identified, while 97 spoof samples were accurately classified
as non-living entities. However, the presence of 6 live samples misclassified as spoof
and 3 spoof samples misidentified as live indicates areas for improvement, particularly in
handling edge cases where spoof attempts closely resemble real faces.Lighting
conditions emerged as a significant factor influencing detection accuracy; the system
struggled under poor lighting, underscoring the importance of diverse training samples to
improve robustness. Overall, while the current implementation of the system shows great
promise, incorporating advanced techniques such as deep learning models and increasing
the dataset's variability will be essential to enhance performance and mitigate
vulnerabilities to sophisticated spoofing methods.

In conclusion, the development of the face liveness recognition app using Flutter for the
front-end interface and Python OpenCV for backend processing has demonstrated
significant potential in enhancing biometric security measures. The app effectively
detects and analyzes facial features in real-time, distinguishing between live and spoofed
facial images. Through the integration of advanced computer vision techniques and
Flutter's responsive UI capabilities, we have created a user-friendly application that is
both reliable and efficient.Looking ahead, several avenues for future work can be
explored to further enhance the app's functionality and performance. First, incorporating
machine learning algorithms, such as convolutional neural networks (CNNs), could
improve the accuracy of liveness detection, especially in challenging environments with
varying lighting conditions and diverse face angles. Additionally, expanding the app to
support multi-factor authentication by integrating other biometric modalities, such as
fingerprint recognition or voice recognition, could provide users with a more robust
security framework.Another potential area for future development is the enhancement of
the user experience through personalized features, such as user-specific feedback and
adaptive security measures based on user behavior. Furthermore, conducting extensive
field tests and user studies will help identify usability issues and improve overall app
performance. Lastly, exploring cloud-based solutions for data processing could increase
scalability and allow for real-time updates to the recognition algorithms, ensuring that
the app remains secure against emerging spoofing techniques. Overall, these future
directions will not only contribute to the advancement of face activityrecognition
technology but also strengthen its practical applications in various industries.

Future Work
For future work, several improvements can be made to enhance the app’s performance
and capabilities. Expanding the range of recognized activities, optimizing the machine
learning models for greater accuracy, and incorporating advanced deep learning
techniques are potential next steps. Furthermore, integrating cloud services for
continuous data processing and personalized activity recommendations could elevate the
app’s functionality. User feedback and real-world testing will also play a vital role in
refining the system. Finally, considering privacy and security measures will be crucial to
ensure the safe handling of sensitive user data in future iterations.
