READING
1 Hey there! I'm just like you, a cadet, and I want to talk about something very important in our
cadet life: friendship. Being a cadet isn't just about learning to march or shoot straight; it's also about
making great friends.

2 Friendship in cadet life is kind of like having another family. We're all here with a common goal:
to learn discipline, leadership, and other military skills. But it's more than that. It's about being there for
one another. When things get tough or if something is tricky, your friends are right there with you,
cheering you on. They’ve got your back, you’ve got theirs.

3 Trust is a big deal in cadet life. We need to trust each other, not just with our secrets but also to
keep each other safe. Whether we're out on the terrain practicing or just in class, we depend on each
other. We know we can count on our friends, no matter what. It's like a team, and we all play a part.

4 Being a cadet also means that we don't just learn from our instructors; we learn from each other
too. We help and support each other. We share what we know, help with difficult stuff, and push each
other to do our best. It's like we're all on the same journey, and that's how we all grow together.

5 One thing to remember is that the friends you make as a cadet can last a really long time, maybe
even forever. Even when our cadet days are over, we'll always have those memories of studying late,
adventures, and all the laughter and good times. These friends will be there for you as you move on to
other parts of your life. So, as a fellow cadet, I encourage you to value and appreciate the friends you
make in your cadet journey. They make this experience special, and they will be there for you through all
the times, both now and in the future. Enjoy your time as a cadet, and enjoy the friendships you make!
