Sustainable furniture is a type of furniture that uses materials with a minimal

negative impact on the environment. Sustainable furniture commonly uses:

_Materials that come from renewable sources or recycled


_Materials with minimal chemicals that can pollute the
_environment and harm the population
_Local materials or local manufacturing to save on transportation
_Long lasting materials with no planned obsolescence

Why do we need to change to sustainable furniture?


_eco-friendly furniture generates less pollution and waste; therefore, less environmental damage is produced,
making our global environment healthier.
_sustainable furniture is usually made with recycled materials like recycled plastics or fibers, so manufacturers and
providers do not need to extract new materials to create new pieces. Like Sustonable, which is made of recycled
PET plastic bottles and natural stone.
_Purchasing local is also one of the main reasons to buy “green furniture” it helps save fuel and waste. By buying
materials close to the manufacturing site, you are helping the planet to be cleaner.
_Sustainable furniture helps to tackle climate change and the linear consumption of products we currently have. It
is a way to preserve the planet to run out of natural resources as sustainable furniture is usually made with long-
lasting, durable materials.

It used at home makes up large group. These are kept in the
residential buildings such as bedrooms, drawing rooms, study
rooms and dining rooms and meant for individual use only.

The people need furniture for sitting, to relax their body and to
obtain comfort while working.

It should have a good quality material, firm construction and
confirm the safety of the people who are travelling.

The nature of office furniture should be suitable to the specific
requirements of many different users.
